Your mood is a direct reflection of your nervous system's health.
When your spine has nerve interference , your body often stays in a state of "sympathetic" stress—the fight-or-flight response. This can make you feel more reactive, tired, and irritable like The Grinch. An adjustment helps shift your body back into a "parasympathetic" state, allowing for better rest, recovery, and a much more regulated mood, like Buddy!

The ultimate sign of a regulated nervous system? The ability to shut down and recharge—literally anywhere. 😴

We talk a lot about the "Fight or Flight" response (sympathetic mode), but chiropractic is huge for activating the "Rest and Digest" (parasympathetic) mode. When a child's spine is free from interference their nervous system can function better, their body knows exactly when it's safe to turn off the engine and coast. Even if that means napping on Dad's head!

Common things we see in the clinic.

What is Plagiocephaly?
A syndrome causing the head to flatten on one side, resulting in an asymmetrical, parallelogram shape. A forehead bulge often appears on the side opposite the flat spot.

Common External Causes:
Womb positioning
Multiple births (limited space)
Premature birth
Excessive time in carriers or back-sleeping

This condition is often linked to abnormal dural meningeal tension. This tension can block the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and exert internal stress on the developing cranial bones.

What is Torticollis?

Babies should be able to move their heads and bodies with a full range of motion. When that movement is restricted—often due to abnormal dural meningeal tension—it can lead to tight neck muscles and unequal spinal tension. We call this condition Torticollis.

Whether caused by positioning in the womb, birth trauma, or congenital factors, Torticollis makes it painful for a baby to turn their head.

What to look for:
A persistent preference for looking in only one direction.
Crying or screaming when you try to turn their head to the opposite side.
Symptoms may appear at birth or develop a few weeks later.
