It has to be said…. SERVICE PROVIDERS are hurting this week.
I’ve spoken with many local gals (hair stylists, aestheticians, massage therapists..etc) and we are all feeling the weight of fall break.
Let me break it down. Sunday, when I’m preparing for my week ahead, I see a fully booked calendar. Monday, while in session with clients, the texts/DM/emails start rolling in… “Hey, I’m sorry I need to cancel for Wednesday. We will be out of town”..
“I forgot I had an appointment and we are gone for FB” etc….
It’s Tuesday and I now have 6 clients for the whole week…
That hurts. A lot.
I’ve even seen another local LMT question whether she can stay in this industry because our income is not reliable. 💔
24/48 hours notice is not enough. It is very hard to fill a spot that quickly, even with a cancellation list- and a lot of times we are left withOUT an income.
I’m grateful I have incredible clients who don’t cancel super often but the rain has fallen hard this week.
So, PLEASE try to let us know asap and keep us in mind when planning those impromptu excursions.
