I was too stunned to speak. I was brand new to massage and was teaching a class on the importance of strengthening and stretching to a group of runners. I tried to clarify what he meant but he literally believed he had NO hamstrings. He told me a doctor removed them…..
needless to say I ended the class because I truly had no idea where to go from there.

7 years later one of my best clients tells me that class was how she found me and became a client. 💕 she was just as shook as I was about the missing hamstrings! 😂

It has to be said…. SERVICE PROVIDERS are hurting this week.

I’ve spoken with many local gals (hair stylists, aestheticians, massage therapists..etc) and we are all feeling the weight of fall break.

Let me break it down. Sunday, when I’m preparing for my week ahead, I see a fully booked calendar. Monday, while in session with clients, the texts/DM/emails start rolling in… “Hey, I’m sorry I need to cancel for Wednesday. We will be out of town”..
“I forgot I had an appointment and we are gone for FB” etc….
It’s Tuesday and I now have 6 clients for the whole week…
That hurts. A lot.

I’ve even seen another local LMT question whether she can stay in this industry because our income is not reliable. 💔

24/48 hours notice is not enough. It is very hard to fill a spot that quickly, even with a cancellation list- and a lot of times we are left withOUT an income.

I’m grateful I have incredible clients who don’t cancel super often but the rain has fallen hard this week.
So, PLEASE try to let us know asap and keep us in mind when planning those impromptu excursions.

😍😍😍 When I tell you I have been COUNTING down the days since the announcement of this downtown shop, I mean seconds, minutes and hours!
Our community needed this so badly, I’m not even upset they are in my DREAM location.

Please stop by and congratulate this sweet family and support their *expanded* small business. (If you didn’t know, they had a spot in peddlers mall previously)

I will be out of office, following today’s appointments, as I travel to be with family. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding during this time. All calls, emails, DMs, texts..etc will be responded to on Tuesday, when I return.

Thank you especially to the clients who have been so understanding when rescheduling appointments. I’ve lost 3 grandparents in 2 years and my entire family is several hours away. You all know how much I HATE to reschedule/cancel. I don’t want to disappoint anyone but you have all been so kind and flexible. I’m forever grateful to have clients/friends like you. 💕
