Kennedy serves as our Medical Records Coordinator, where she plays a vital role in helping patients and their families access important documentation—whether it’s for court, disability hearings, or continued care. She is dedicated to ensuring records are provided in a timely and efficient manner, helping make what can sometimes be a stressful process as smooth as possible.

Her passion for helping others shines through in every interaction. Kennedy understands how important these documents are and works hard to support patients and families with care, compassion, and attention to detail.

We’re proud to highlight Susan, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for adolescents and adults. 💙

Susan specializes in the evaluation and treatment of:

Her approach combines medication management, thorough diagnostic assessment, and patient education, ensuring each treatment plan is thoughtfully tailored to align with her patients’ goals, values, and lived experiences.

Susan is also experienced in advanced treatments, including Spravato® (esketamine) for treatment-resistant depression, and is committed to staying current with the latest evidence-based practices to best support her patients.

Miriah plays a vital role behind the scenes—supporting our providers so they can continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of the clients we serve. Her commitment helps ensure our team stays strong, supported, and focused on delivering compassionate care every day.

Outside of work, Miriah enjoys crocheting thoughtful, handmade gifts for family and friends—just one example of the care and creativity she brings into all areas of her life.

🌟 Employee Spotlight🌟

❤️Today we’re proud to highlight Sanela, our Office Manager at the Shepherdsville office! She plays an essential role in keeping our clinic running smoothly while supporting both our patients and our team. Sanela led the implementation of our Spravato treatment program and oversaw the program to help establish workflows that support both patients and providers. She has also helped oversee our patient intake department, strengthening coordination between our clinical and administrative teams to ensure a seamless experience for those seeking care.

Outside of work, Sanela is a proud mom to three children — two sons, ages 7 and 4, and a daughter who is 17. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and relaxing with a good book.

Mental health care is deeply meaningful to Sanela because she sees every day the courage it takes for someone to seek help. She truly values the teamwork at our Shepherdsville clinic and takes pride in helping maintain a welcoming space—a space where patients feel cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.

Yesterday, Natalie represented Astra Behavioral Health at the 3rd Annual Women’s Breakfast hosted by the Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce. She had the opportunity to connect with many incredible women from the community, share ideas, and support one another in their professional journeys. 🩷

Holly Hartman was the guest speaker with her presentation “Building a Personal Brand with Clarity and Confidence”. Holly was insightful and inspiring, offering practical reminders about the power of authenticity and purpose in our work. ❤️
