Today we wrapped up a great internship we had the privilege of hosting for Carmine, a student at IMSA.
Carmine is currently a junior at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy, where he focuses on engineering and robotics. He serves as the electrical lead on his FIRST Robotics team, participates in the IMSA Society of Engineers, and is working toward becoming a pilot. He plans to pursue aerospace engineering in college.
During his time with us, Carmine took on real world engineering work by converting 2D technical drawings into 3D CAD models used for manufacturing. He gained insight into engineering processes and the manufacturing side of what we do here at Acme Industries, while also experiencing what it's like to work within a professional engineering department and an office environment.
We are pleased to have had this opportunity, as experiences like this are so important. Giving students early exposure to real world careers helps open their eyes to what is possible, builds confidence, and plays a key role in developing the future of manufacturing and engineering. We're proud to have been a part of Carmines journey and even more excited to see the impact he'll make in the future of engineering. We can tell the future is bright and we are proud to have played a small role in shaping it.
A special thank you to our engineering team for their help and support.
