Meet Madeline!
Regroup Counseling’s Clinical Intern! She has immediate openings in our Elk River office and telehealth.
Madeline is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. As a therapist-in-training, she believes therapy should feel like a safe and welcoming space where people can show up just as they are. Madeline feels honored to walk alongside children, adolescents, and families as they navigate life’s challenges and discover their strengths.
She has experience working with children, teens, and families, and especially enjoys supporting young clients 12 and under through play-based and creative approaches. Madeline understands that children often communicate through play and uses these techniques to help them feel understood, supported, and empowered.
Her approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, valuing authenticity, empathy, and strong therapeutic relationships. She also integrates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy techniques, attachment-based perspectives, and polyvagal-informed practices to support emotional regulation and overall well-being.
Madeline works with children, adolescents, and families navigating concerns such as anxiety, stress, emotional regulation, self-esteem, depression, school challenges, and life transitions. She also supports clients experiencing family and relationship concerns, behavioral challenges, grief and loss, trauma, and difficulties managing big emotions.
Madeline is under Supervision with Tia Dvorak, MS, LMFT-S, BBHT-S, RPT-S, and will be completing training for DC-05 Assessments.
Madeline can accept medical assistance PMAPS or sliding fee scale.
