What an amazing day we had on Saturday! Roxi is already on board for another event next Spring!

I continue to be humbled and thrilled at the support for what we do here. PHENOMENAL volunteers that stepped up to help make things work - helping clean up and set up in advance, running to Menards and assembling heaters at the last minute, and how about that parking and welcoming crew?? Horse handlers, table/chair pick up and drop off...the list goes on. THANK YOU to all the volunteers!

And, of course, an enormous THANK YOU to our donors. YOU DELIVERED! We had what I thought was a quite aspirational goal, and we not only met it, but exceeded that wish, even after accounting for one-time expenses that set us up for future success.

My heart is full, and I can't wait to see you out here at the farm again!

You are safe here at at Intermission.

There are a lot of scary things in the news these days. For instance, I just checked, and as of today the ACLU is currently tracking 517 anti-LGBTQ bills in the U.S.

Locally, some of the reactions to my recent post advertising our upcoming open house and drag bingo fundraiser made it EXTREMELY clear how important safe spaces are specifically for the LGBTQ+ community in Elk River.

I love everything about it except maybe that video on the homepage, so I set out to see if I could capture some fresh footage today.
