It's Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month! 🩶 Let's take a closer look at how Parkinson’s Disease is commonly managed and what other options may exist.
The traditional “gold standard” approach often relies on medications that increase or mimic dopamine. While these can help reduce symptoms, there are some important limitations:
➡️ They do not slow or stop disease progression
➡️ Higher doses are often needed over time
➡️ Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, and dry mouth
➡️ Increased doses can lead to dyskinesias (abnormal movements)
➡️ In some cases: confusion, hallucinations, or even psychosis
For many people, this approach focuses on symptom management, but doesn’t address the bigger picture.
Our Parkinson’s Disease Supportive Care Program is designed to:
✔ Help slow progression
✔ Reduce symptoms as naturally as possible
✔ Customized to each individual
Our approach focuses on supporting the body through targeted therapies, lifestyle strategies, and personalized care.
