Today, we gathered at Hubbard Hill to honor the incredible men and women who have served our country with courage, dedication, and sacrifice. Our community came together to celebrate their stories, express our gratitude, and recognize the freedoms we enjoy because of their service.

Following the ceremony, our veterans enjoyed lunch together, sharing memories, laughter, and fellowship. ❤️💙

We are deeply thankful for our veterans, residents, staff, and families who joined us in this meaningful celebration. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Serving Together to Make a Global Impact! 🙌

Last week, a group of our leaders and Village Residents from Hubbard Hill joined others at Nappanee Missionary Church for Session 5 of the Feed My Starving Children MobilePack event.

Through teamwork, joy, and prayer, we helped pack 333 boxes, providing 71,928 meals — enough to feed 197 children for an entire year!

At the end of our session, the entire room of 459 volunteers joined together in a powerful moment of prayer over the boxes we packed, asking for God’s blessings and provision for the children who will receive these meals.

We’re so grateful to have been part of this amazing multi-day event and to join hands with others in the community to fight hunger and bring hope around the world.

Last week at Hubbard Hill was filled with Halloween festivities! The staff led a Candy Collection Drive, and our halls were bustling with Trick-or-Treaters and residents eager to pass out candy.

On Friday, our staff got into the spirit by dressing up and celebrating together.

What a wonderful time of community and joy! Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun! 👻🎃

At Hubbard Hill, we love our furry friends roaming the halls and bringing joy to everyone. One of our beloved pups is none other than Maya, our Director of Quality's Shih Tzu.

Here's more about our resident queen, Maya:

Just shy of four years old, Maya has a penchant for sniffing shoes. Once she approves your scent, you're officially welcomed at Hubbard Hill!

She adores Kathy, our DON, and often keeps company in her office, lounging on the desk and monitoring the Wellness Center.

Maya is the ultimate socialite, delighting residents, staff, and especially children with her playful spirit.

Trained by her late Yorkiepoo friend, Lucy, Maya learned to love and respect elders, bringing countless smiles with her presence.

Known for her joyful zoomies, she once burst into energetic play during a chapel meeting, spreading laughter and joy.

At home, Maya is surprisingly mellow, enjoying naps and neighborhood strolls, albeit always on a leash due to her love for neighborly visits.

Join us in celebrating Maya and all the wonderful dogs who make our community a happier place! 🐶❤️

Today is National Father-Daughter Take a Walk Day, a day to encourage fathers and daughters to enjoy quality time together through a simple, healthy activity like walking.

At Hubbard Hill, we’re fortunate to witness these special moments regularly. Today, we’re celebrating two of our residents, Phil Lacy and Ed Ritchie, and their daughters who love to visit and walk with them around our beautiful campus.

Pictured are Phil with his daughter Martha, and Ed with his daughter Tilde. Their bond is a joy to see, and we’re so grateful to have Phil and Ed as part of our community and just as thankful for the love and light Martha and Tilde bring when they visit.

We recently hosted our June Caregiver Forum at Hubbard Hill, featuring Emmy Award winning journalist Christine Karsten

Christine led a heartfelt conversation with two families whose loved ones were living with dementia at Hubbard Hill. The goal was simple: bring together those who have walked this journey to support those just beginning theirs. It was an honest, moving discussion filled with wisdom, compassion, and hope, one that everyone should hear.

In this episode, Dena Benham sits down with host Christine Karsten to explore the emotional and practical challenges adult children face as their parents age. From navigating difficult decisions to feeling overwhelmed by the unknown, Dena offers compassionate insight and helpful guidance for those asking, "Where do I even begin?"

Founded by Children of Faith to Honor their Parents

Forty years ago, in the heartland of America, a light on the hill began to shine. Hubbard Hill was born from its founders’ desire for a loving, healthy community that would foster a more vibrant life for their parents, encourage friendships, and provide holistic medical care. A desire, a wish, a dream: a better way of living.

Today at Hubbard Hill, the vision of our founders and the faith-based values of the heartland are helping us write the next great chapter in caring for the elderly in our lives.

Rooted firmly in this legacy and humbled by the privilege of caring for our neighbors, Hubbard Hill will be opening a new Living Wisdom Center in the summer of 2019. The Memory Care Center at Hubbard Hill carries forward our mission to care for a growing number of our family and friends who are now living with Dementia/Alzheimer’s disease. Lest this seem a distant concern, one American is diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer’s disease every 65 seconds. Loved ones seeking help—already overwhelmed with the endless decision-making and guilt that accompany caring for a mother, father, aunt, or brother—often face limited care options. “Good enough” is no longer good enough.

With the new Living Wisdom Center, Hubbard Hill, a longstanding pillar of the community renowned for its elder care, will set the gold standard for how we will—and how we must—care for those who need a specialized form of excellence in memory care.
