On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the Central Heights Administration unveiled the Centennial Monument to commemorate 100 years of excellence at Central Heights ISD. Working hand in hand with Tonya Turnage (Director of Special Programs and Compliance at CHISD) since the Fall of 2024, Jennifer Dawson (Martus Stone Nacogdoches Store Manager), Doug Russell (Martus Stone Acquisitions) and Heather Wells (Martus Stone Design and Marketing) designed and created a memorial that would stand the test of time, as well as honor the legacy that is Central Heights ISD for the last century.
From the donations of alumni and supporters of CHISD, the cost of the honorary monument was completely covered with the excess going to establish scholarships for the senior class. Over 100 donations were made with each name included on the back either in memory of or in honor of a CHISD patron.
It was an extreme honor and pleasure for Martus Stone to be a part of this special project, and we look forward to serving others in our community with such efforts in the future.
