The Samaritan Center-Elkhart A not-for-profit outpatient mental health facility, serving the Elkhart County community since 1972.

The professional staff and consultants at the Samaritan Center represent several disciplines, including pastoral counseling, clinical psychology, social work, and family therapy. Each therapist has undergone extensive education, training and certification; clients may expect skilled and caring treatment and will benefit from our therapists' education and extensive practical experience. We specialize in play therapy, EMDR and trauma-informed therapies, and group therapy.

It’s the holiday season, and COVID-19 is still in full swing. It’s not easy to stay distanced from friends and loved ones. Many of us are mourning losses and feeling fearful. For many, “COVID fatigue” is setting in. Even with promising news about vaccines, on some days it may feel like there’s no end in sight.

Staying healthy in a pandemic involves taking care of your body, your mind, and your spirit. When loneliness sets in, all three of these are at risk.

Make a plan to stay connected with our Loneliness During COVID-19 resource. Call the Samaritan Center at (574) 262-3597 x101 and request the free code required to login. You can leave a voice mail message with this request including your contact information and permission for us to leave a message if you wish to authorize us to do so. You do not need to be a Samaritan Center client to use this online resource. myStrenghth is appropriate for ages 13 years old and up.
