Healthy Beginnings We offer WIC services, Prenatal Care Coordination, Dental Care, and Breastfeeding Support/Education WIC can help the whole family eat better.

Healthy Beginnings is a community service that provides much needed help to families with nutritional barriers. Through the WIC program, families will receive health screenings, nutrition education and healthy foods. Healthy Babies assists pregnant moms in securing a proper physician, navigating the public assistance such as Medicaid, provides in-depth support and resources to those in difficult situations. The Robbins Dental Clinic provides dental services to families that do not have dental coverage or have coverage but meet the income requirements for sliding fee scale services. Our highly-trained staff will help your child ages 1 - 16 receive excellent dental care at affordable prices. Breastfeeding counseling is available to new moms that may need a little extra help in beginning the process. We provide Peer Counselors to help moms understand, not only, the importance of breastfeeding, but the how-to's as well. Pregnancy Testing is available for $5. Gardening is a great way to grow fresh produce and show your little ones where foods come from! Start planting in early spring (herbs, veggies, or flowers) and talk about what you’re grateful for as you care for them. By summer, you'll have something tangible to enjoy! 🌱

Don’t have the yard space to plant? Grow plants in pots on your windowsills instead! You can also look into community gardens and public green spaces near you to get in touch with nature in your neighborhood!

As the winter months come to a close, mushrooms are a great way of getting Vitamin D in before spring rolls around! 🍄‍🟫

Mushrooms are packed with nutrients like soluble fiber, B vitamins, and potassium. They are also rich in copper and protein, which is critical for building nerve and bone health! 💕

Omega-3 fatty acids are a great way of supporting heart health and can be found in many WIC-approved foods! You can find them in:

🍳Eggs and soy products like tofu
