When should you visit the dentist?

Floss IS boss!

Why are dental professionals always griping about the lack of regular flossing?
Flossing has so many important HEALTH benefits, and not just for your teeth and gums!

Regular (daily) flossing helps to remove plaque and bacteria from between the teeth and below the gum line. This reduces the body’s inflammatory response, reduces the risk of dental caries, gingivitis and gum diseases, as well as combats bad breath.

Do your gums bleed when you floss? Skipping one day of flossing can cause irritation to the gums, but consistent flossing with bleeding is more concerning. If this is happening to you, schedule a visit with us today so we can evaluate your oral health. We can be reached at our office number 574-293-6342.

How to floss?
Floss between the teeth using a dental floss or pick. Hug the teeth in “C” shape around each tooth, wiping gently up and down to remove plaque. Repeat for each tooth, on both sides, until complete. Follow up with gentle brushing! See your dental hygienist for more tips and tricks.
