Peaceful Hearts Hospice is locally owned and operated by a social worker and two nurses who all have a passion for end-of-life care and experience working directly in the hospice field. Each client has the right to choose a hospice company that best fits his/her needs, and while there are many hospice companies to choose from, Peaceful Hearts Hospice strives to make sure all our clients feel cared for by providing hospice care the way it was intended. All of the staff at Peaceful Hearts Hospice have a passion for providing hospice care and to take care of our clients as if they were our family. Our team focuses on modern medicine, as well as a holistic approach to hospice care, giving our clients multiple options to provide quality and comfort based on individualized beliefs and needs. Peaceful Hearts Hospice believes education and communication is critical and we strive to keep all those involved in the client’s care educated on the disease progression as well as what to expect as the client declines. Not only does Peaceful Hearts Hospice value excellence in client care but we also take pride in treating our staff well, understanding the importance of self-care and appreciation for our health care workers who make all we do possible. Peaceful Hearts Hospice supports the client’s choices by providing education on the expected terminal disease progression, as well as supporting the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and social aspects of each client and everyone involved in his/her life. Peaceful Hearts Hospice envisions a community in which all individuals have a true understanding of the hospice philosophy and those who qualify for hospice receive services in a timely manner. Hospice continues to carry the stigma of “where you go when you are dying,” when in fact the true hospice philosophy is focused on living and quality of life. Peaceful Hearts Hospice will maintain this vision through continual education and by providing quality care to all clients and families. Peaceful Hearts Hospice prays that each person lives a life of gratitude, happiness, respect, love, honesty, self-determination, and faith. Today we had the total joy of celebrating our client Janet’s 🎉 8️⃣6️⃣th 🎉 birthday with a party at Elk Ridge Village Senior Living!

Her daughter Sandy and granddaughter Ally joined us to make the day extra special. Janet — an animal lover who is so ladylike and poised — had a constant smile and laughed as her family shared stories, including about her beloved dog Princess, who was described as “little and very round.” (We were told Janet made sure Princess was well spoiled… especially with plenty of people food!)

She happily enjoyed her chocolate cupcake (she loves her sweets!) after the group sang her “Happy Birthday!” with Holistic Hearts Foundation’s Joe leading on the clarinet.

It was truly such a fun, lovely, and heartwarming celebration for a truly lovely woman! Happy Birthday, dear Janet! ❤️🎂❤️

We had so much fun delivering hats full of festive treats to our clients, their families, and community partners! It was also a delight to decorate cookies today with the wonderful residents of Echo Hills Assisted Living and Memory Care alongside Life Enrichment Director Shannon Rondeau! 🫶

A special thank you to Corey Starr with Neptune Cremation Service for the gorgeous spring door decor — we’re so grateful and our clients will adore them!

Happy 🎉 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ 🎉 birthday to our client Elaine!

Elaine celebrated this incredible milestone at home surrounded by her daughter Leslie, son-in-law Mike, the PHH team, and a former caregiver. It was clear all day long just how loved she is.

Elaine is slightly feisty, fun, and full of heart — and her party was full of stories. When her kids were young, she’d get them off to school and then sit down with a cup of coffee … and a piece of cake. When we asked what kind she likes, she didn’t miss a beat: “I love chocolate!”

So of course we made sure to bring her a chocolate cake — which she happily enjoyed (after also having chocolate cake for breakfast … but that’s what one does when one turns 100!).

Elaine received lots of birthday cards and even led her own round of “Happy Birthday” with Holistic Hearts Foundation’s Joe accompanying on the clarinet.

What a blessing it was to celebrate 100 amazing years of Elaine! ❤️🎁❤️

Here’s to 🎉 9️⃣9️⃣ 🎉 years for our client Julia at Sunridge Village! We had the joy of surprising Julia with a birthday party today & she was SO delighted!

Julia was chatty, joyful, and full of stories — including about her great-granddaughter who loves to visit and pretend she’s her great-grandma’s nurse.

When we asked Julia what her favorite birthday ever had been, she smiled and said, “Well, there really is something special about being 99 — it has been such a good day!” 🥳

We sang “Happy Birthday” with Julia leading and — as a bonus — played it for Julia on our party horns, too! 🥳 It was amazing to celebrate 99 wonderful years of Julia!
