Elkin Eye Care is a private practice that was formed when Dr. Janet Perkins at Schonhofen Eye retired after serving the community and seeing patients for 42.5 years! She sold her practice to Dr. Logan Oliver, the owner of Oliver Eye Care in Sparta, NC. The practice was started independently in 1979, and it remains that way today. Dr. Brewer joined Elkin Eye Care at the end of 2021 and continues to offer comprehensive vision examinations specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of eye diseases, conditions, and problems. We use advanced diagnostic technology and vision correction products and are committed to improving the quality of life of persons in the Elkin and surrounding communities through enhanced vision. Congratulations to Dr. Brewer on the newest addition to her family!

While Dr. Brewer is soaking up quality time with her family, we are excited to announce that Dr. Dexter Street has joined our team and will be seeing patients in our Elkin location on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Our office will operate on limited hours (9 am to 4 pm) on Thursday to answer phone calls and assist patients with any eyewear needs. The Elkin location will be closed on Fridays pending Dr. Brewer's return from maternity leave.
