Tiny Miss & Tiny Mister : 1mo.

to 5 years
Little Miss & Little Mister: 6 to 12 years
Teen Miss & Teen Mister: 13 to 18 years
Miss & Mister 19 to No age Limit
We have two categories the contestants compete in:
1.Outfit of Choice- you can go with the star theme of our pageant or what outfit that best suits your personality
2.Gown for the Ladies and Suit for the Gentlemen
They contestants also vote for Miss & Mister Congeniality in their Divisions

This will be my last post on this page concerning the Shining Star Pageant. I have done a lot of soul searching and praying about this and every time I go to make a move forward to continue the pageant a door gets shut. In my heart I truly believe that God is shutting those doors because He needs me to move onto the next project that He has in store for me. I also truly believe that He will lead me to a project that will be even more amazing than the pageant. I want everyone to know that I have made some wonderful friendships through this pageant and I know that they will continue on long after this pageant ceases to exist. I enjoyed our time together and my life has been made all the better for having known all of you. I will not be taking down this page so that in the future if He leads me to something that will give me a chance to work will all your loved ones again that I will be able to get in contact with you all at the same time. Please be in prayer for me as I embark on the next amazing journey that is before me. Pageant Family I want you to know I love all of you dearly and I will miss our time together, May God Bless each and every one of your lives.

As the time gets closer to what would have been our pageant date...my heart breaks that I wont be seeing all of amazing contestants, their family, and friends. I was looking forward to getting to meet new contestants, but things just were not working as planned this year. :/
Be in prayer for next years pageant. If it is God's will, things will work out the way they are suppose to. Just know that I will miss all of you terribly! I truly love each and every member of our pageant family

I have to make an announcement about our 2014 Pageant.
We will be unable to have our pageant this year.
This was not an easy decision and a lot of factors came into play that are simply out of our control. Just know that a lot of thought and prayers went into this decision and as heartbreaking as it is I knew it was the right decision.
We will be praying and looking toward a 2015 pageant. Please know that it wasn't simply one or two things that caused this decision it was many.
We respectfully ask that you do not ask for details because some of them are private and include other individuals.
We love all of you and will miss you greatly this year.

I am sharing this again because I am still needing a volunteer to collect money while I paint faces, and I would love to have some of our Kings and Queens show up and spend some time at our booth. Miss Wheelchair West Virginia is going to make an appearance and I would love to introduce you. Please let me know as soon as possible. If we do not get a volunteer to help with the money box I will be unable to make this a fundraising event.

** The fundraising booth that we will be having May 24th in the Elkins City Park is for the Non-Profit organization- Asha Inc. A Portion of our proceeds from that day will be donated back to Asha Inc.
Asha Inc. was founded in January by Junior Robinson and Tiffanie Robinson to provide support to those of all ages in WV affected by paralysis or mobility disability. Having sustained a Spinal Cord Injury, 8 years ago, in a diving accident, Junior is very aware of the struggles of living life in a wheelchair and lack of accessibility in WV.
Asha Inc provides support programs and other activities designed to facilitate hope and inclusion.
By next year, our goal is to have enough funds to open our nonprofit center which will be a one stop facility, housing modified gym equip, modified exercise classes, children's area, support groups, health & wellness seminars and information center

**Attention all Shining Star Contestants**. Will will be having a fund raising booth in the Elkins City Park on May 24th starting at 11 am. I would love for you to come and hang out with us so that we can show off our amazing contestants! We are so proud of all of you and we want the world to see you! Our application was approved! Our official pageant date is Saturday August 2nd. Not sure about the time I will keep you updated. Applications will be mailed out the last week of April and there is a deadline this year. I do not want to turn anyone away, but it is too hard to make up our contestant line up the night before. So excited! :D

I need help for our Hooked on Fishing Booth for Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th. If you can paint faces that would be awesome. I also need someone to watch over the sand art table and a person that can be in charge of the money box. If you can help please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks :)

We may be able to get a booth at the Hooked On Fishing Expo in Elkins. It will be the weekend of the 29th and 30th. If any of our Kings or Queens would like to come by the booth and spend some time we would love to have you. We would be so proud for everyone to meet our amazing royalty :)

I am turning in our request form to rent the theater for the 2nd of August. That seems to be the date most can attend and volunteer. Prayers Please. We are unsure when school will be starting due to the amount of snow days. Hopefully things will work in our favor and we will be able to rent it for the 2nd
