Family Eye Care Center began in 1990 after Dr Craig completed his education and returned to West Virginia. He received a BS from Penn State University, Happy Valley, PA in 1984. Received Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, Columbus, Ohio in 1989 and completed a Pediatric Optometry and Binocular Vision Residency Program at SUNY (State University of New York in New York City, NY) in 1990. Clifton Hyre, both Optometric Physicians joined their Optometry practices to better serve their patients. Surrounding central West Virginia with both primary care Optometry and Vision Care, Drs. Hyre have extensive experience in management of eye emergencies, eye diseases. Additionally they offer routine vision and contact lens services. They have gained recognition as the "go to" eye care providers for treatment of emergency eye care. This page is informational only and does not constitute medical advice.

There is a Warming Shelter on Third Street at the Refinery Church if you are in need of a warm space or know of someone who needs to get out of the extreme cold temperatures.
