Impermanence is not just a Buddhist buzzword. The reality of it has been hitting home lately, in a big way. There's been so much recent change - global, local, and in many cases, rapid - and, for a lot of the folks we know who've been personally affected, damaging. How do we hang on and get through, from moment to moment?
We know, from our own experience, that having a toolbox of skills always ready and available is vital to our survival. Practicing awareness and mindfulness doesn't always look like achieving a state of blissful calm (whatever that looks like) or relaxation. Sometimes it's about just hanging on and staying present. Engaging deeply and intentionally with the physical senses helps us shake loose from unhelpful patterns, increase compassion for ourselves and others, and find the courage and clarity to make authentic life choices.
Our next Come To Your Senses retreat is the last weekend of this month, March 28-31. The early bird discount we offered was meant to expire yesterday. We know a lot of folks are sorting through a lot right now, and we'd like to extend it another week. In addition, we would like to offer this retreat free of charge to anyone who has experienced an unexpected loss of employment in the past month, due to the recent reductions and restructuring that have cut through so many sectors. More retreat info at the link in our bio. DM with any questions, or to register.
