Congratulations Marie Carmel Jacques, MD and Cedric Jacques!
Marie-Carmel Jacques, MD, is a compassionate physician whose life’s work has been guided by service, faith, and a deep commitment to healing. Born on September 23, 1954, in Pétion-Ville, Haiti, she was educated in Catholic schools where she developed strong values rooted in discipline, empathy, and community service. These early foundations shaped her calling to medicine and her lifelong dedication to helping others.
After immigrating to the United States in 1976, Dr. Jacques pursued higher education with determination, earning an Associate degree from Borough of Manhattan Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stony Brook University, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad del Noreste in Tampico, Mexico. She completed Fifth Pathway training at Elmhurst Hospital in affiliation with Mount Sinai and later a residency in Social Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and licensed to practice medicine in New York State.
Throughout her career, Dr. Jacques has provided decades of outpatient and ambulatory care across public and private healthcare settings in New York, serving diverse and often underserved populations. Her work reflects not only clinical excellence but a deep respect for dignity, cultural understanding, and patient-centered care.
Dr. Jacques’ commitment to New Life reflects her belief in compassion, renewal, and holistic care that honors both physical and spiritual well-being. This commitment extends beyond medicine into her personal mission of service and community support.
As her mother now requires additional care, Dr. Jacques’ personal experience has strengthened her long-standing vision of creating an assisted living facility grounded in dignity, family values, and medical integrity. This dream aligns seamlessly with her devotion to New Life and her desire to build a legacy of care that supports seniors and their families with respect, compassion, and trust.
