We were honored to be part of the 1st Responder Mental Health & Wellness Conference in Ocean City this week for the second year!

It was inspiring to see the work being done and the shift in culture to help dismantle stigma around mental health support. Connecting with so many dedicated first responders, wellness professionals, and organizations committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of those who protect and serve our communities reminded us why this work matters so deeply.

Our first responders face unique challenges and stressors that require specialized, trauma-informed support. Conferences like this show us that the conversation is changing—mental wellness is being recognized as essential to overall health and resilience.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to connect and learn more about the work we do. We're grateful to be part of a community that is actively breaking down barriers and creating a culture where seeking support is a sign of strength.💙

As the weekend begins, take a moment to check in with yourself. 🌿

Rest is not a luxury—it’s an important part of caring for your mental health. Whether that means slowing down, spending time with people who support you, getting outside, or simply giving yourself permission to do less, your well-being matters.

This weekend, try to make space for something that helps you recharge. Small moments of care can make a big difference. 💙

Wishing everyone a peaceful and restorative weekend.

Self-Compassion Reminder

If January hasn’t gone the way you expected, take a breath.

There is no deadline for healing, growth, or feeling “put together.”
Progress doesn’t follow a calendar, and neither does mental health.

You are allowed to move at your own pace.
You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to begin again—on any day.

Self-compassion isn’t giving up.
It’s giving yourself what you actually need. 💚

Support is here when you’re ready.

🌅 New Year, New Intentions 🌅

As we stand at the threshold of a new year, we invite you to approach 2026 with intention rather than resolution.

Resolutions often feel like demands we place on ourselves—rigid goals that can leave us feeling defeated when life happens. But intentions? Intentions are different. They're gentle guideposts that remind us of who we want to become and how we want to show up in the world.

Some intentions to consider:
This year, I intend to be kinder to myself when things don't go as planned.
I intend to honor my needs and set boundaries that protect my peace.
I intend to celebrate small victories along the way.
I intend to ask for help when I need it.
I intend to trust my own healing process and timeline.

Remember: Growth isn't linear. Healing isn't perfect. And you don't have to have it all figured out on January 1st—or ever.

Your intention can be as simple as "I intend to take things one day at a time" or "I intend to be present." There's no wrong answer. There's only what feels true for you.

What intention will guide your journey this year?

Here's to a year of compassion, growth, and gentle forward movement.

With hope and support,
The Changing Tides Team
