Anita Jo Powell, Chief Executive Officer of Blount Rural Health Center, extends sincere appreciation to Mr. Tony Chaudoin as he steps down from his role as President of the Board of Directors after nine years of dedicated leadership.
Mr. Chaudoin served as Board President from 2016 through 2025 and will continue to serve as an active member of the Board. A resident of Auburn, Kentucky, Tony is the Senior Pastor of Liberty Baptist Church and has been a steadfast advocate for accessible, community-based healthcare throughout his tenure.
During his leadership, the organization—formerly known as Helping Hands Health Clinic, Inc.—experienced significant growth and transformation. During his tenure, the clinic achieved designation as a Certified Rural Health Clinic in 2014, expanded services to include Behavioral Health in 2016, completed construction of a new facility in 2017, and added dental services in 2018. Today, Blount Rural Health Center continues to thrive as a trusted and comprehensive provider of medical, dental, and mental health services for residents of Todd County and surrounding communities.
“Volunteer board members are essential to the strength and accountability of a nonprofit organization,” said Powell. “I am proud to work alongside fourteen dedicated volunteer board members who are deeply committed to ensuring Blount Rural Health Center remains a vital healthcare resource for our region. Tony’s steady leadership, vision, and faith-centered commitment to service have made a lasting impact on our organization and the community we serve.”
Powell added that Mr. Chaudoin’s tenure was marked not only by growth and expansion, but by thoughtful governance, encouragement to staff, and a heart for meeting the needs of underserved populations.
“Tony has led with integrity, humility, and a genuine concern for the well-being of others,” Powell said. “On behalf of our staff, board, and the many patients whose lives have been touched by this organization, we extend our deepest gratitude for his years of faithful service. We are thankful he will continue to serve on the Board and remain part of the Blount Rural Health Center family.
