We hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving with their family and friends! We are thankful to announce that we have limited availability, less than 50%, in our classrooms! We are beginning to prepare final rosters, so PLEASE message us to confirm your child’s spot, or to simply let us know that you have found alternate childcare, allowing us to give that slot to another child! If you still need childcare, let us know as soon as possible! Once approved by the state, we will be a subsidy provider! We’re closer than ever! Have a great weekend! 💙💛💙💛

We would like to thank everyone who came out for interviews this past week! We met with many amazing, prospective individuals, some of which we cannot wait to welcome to our team! We are still needing a few more to join our crew! If you are looking for a change and love children, please reach out to us! We still have a few openings available! Happy Monday! We have sent out messages/emails for scheduling interviews for the end of the week. If you’ve inquired about a job, and we missed you, please let us know! We will be having an ‘open door’ night tonight from 430-8 for anyone who would like to come by for an application/walk-in interview. The facility is still under minor renovations, so please excuse our mess! We look forward to meeting the future members of our Little Scholars Family! 💙💛

We are beyond excited to announce that we FINALLY have been given the green light from the county, meaning we can now apply for State Licensure!!!!

For a project that was supposed to open over a year ago, it has been nothing but obstacles for our family. We have prayed for this dream, cried over the hardships, rejoiced every time a step was made, and have literally put our blood, sweat, and tears into every aspect of this journey. When renovations on the building first began, we gave it to God and wrote His word throughout on the foundations of the work to be completed. We prayed for protection of the children who would enter our doors, as well as the wisdom and discernment of our staff. Through every hardship, we truly wondered if this was ‘our season’ and if we were making the right decisions. Looking back, God has protected us from so many things that have transpired, things that could have changed the whole outcome of our dream! While the waiting and what-ifs were terribly hard to endure, we’ve had so many revelations as to why God made us wait! The wait has been worth it!

So, what’s next for Little Scholars Academy? 1. FILING: We will file our application with the state tomorrow and await their inspection of our building. If all goes as smoothly as things have went the past 2 weeks, and they give us the final go, we are looking at a projected opening date of January 2026!!!
2. HIRING: We have received an abundance of resumes, and have not forgotten any of you! We will begin interviewing next week, so please be on the lookout for an email/FB message from us! We are still accepting resumes for full and part-time positions in all age groups!
3. ENROLLING: Now is the time to enroll if you have yet to do so! We have limited availability of full and part-time spots! If you want to secure your child’s spot, and avoid being waitlisted, please reach out to us as soon as possible! If you have enrolled your child with us, please contact us and confirm that you are still needing that spot!

Long post but with valuable info!!!!!

There has been a recent issue with our FB page notifying us of any comments or private messages, meaning we have not received anything for about the past 6 weeks! We will be working our hardest to try and go back and respond to messages. However, if you do not hear a response by this weekend, PLEASE reach back out!

We ARE still accepting applications!!! If interested, please email a resume to littlescholars.rock.co@gmail.com! We have received so much support in terms of applicants that we are beyond grateful! We are reviewing them all and will be in touch soon!

Also, we will unfortunately not be meeting our originally expected date of opwning. There have been additional requests made by various officials with the building, which will push us back for a bit longer. We are working diligently to make the necessary upgrades and additions to get our facility ready. By the time this venture is said and done, the only original piece of the building will be the exterior walls, meaning a brand new facility!

We have been asked why this process is taking so long compared to others in the area. Without going into all the specifics, being a state-licensed facility means we have a tremendous amount of regulations that we have to follow and standards we have to meet. Additionally, the local officials have their criteria we must meet as well. Meeting all of these requirements have taken the expertise of a multitude of individuals whose schedules all vary, and the projects have not been small ones. As with anything, it does take time. Our number one priority has been, and always will be, the safety and security of the children we serve. If a delayed opening is what is required to ensure our children and families receive THE BEST CARE in OUR BEST FACILITY we can provide, then that is what we will do! We appreciate your patience and prayers as we continue this process!

GREAT NEWS!!!! All major renovations to the building has been completed! The Fire Marshall has been out and our facility has passed inspection! Paperwork has been filed with the State! Now we await their inspection and the official ‘Go Ahead’!

We have a projected opening date of June 2nd!!! If you have reached out previously, we will be in touch to ensure you are still needing that slot for your child(ren)! If you’ve been waiting to enroll, NOW is the time to do so! Whether you are out of pocket, or subsidy, please get on our list before the remaining spots are snatched up!

Be on the lookout for our OPEN HOUSE in the upcoming weeks! This will be a time where the public, whether you have children or not, will be invited to come and tour our newly renovated and absolutely beautiful center, ask any questions you may have, pickup paperwork for your child or grab an application in person, and be entered to win some prizes just for coming out!

Spencer and I are truly blessed to have had so many amazing individuals work with us to prepare this facility for your child! We are absolutely in awe of where it has came from to what it is now! We are so ready to care and love on your littles! 8 weeks to go!!! 💙💛💙

We will soon begin the hiring process to build an amazing team! We currently have positions available for every age group, from birth - 5, both full and part time! Prior experience in a childcare facility is preferred, but not required, as we will provide training on site!!! We are looking for individuals who are dependable, honest, and hardworking, with the eagerness to work weekends, and will love our children as if they were their own!!!

We would like to give a HUGE shoutout to Greg Knight of 5K Customs, LLC for their beautiful work on our floors! Greg was a pleasure to work with, always being on time and explaining his process! These floors have given life to the center! We appreciate you!

Next steps are inspections by the Fire Marshall and Building Official, then application for licensure! We’re almost there!!

We’d like to wish a Happy New Year to all! While everyone is making all of their personal resolutions, we have only one…to open our doors and provide the children of the Shenandoah Valley with the highest quality of affordable childcare and educational opportunities!!! 2025 has GREAT things in store for our facility, as well as the families we will serve! 💙💛💙💛

Just a quick check-in/update!!! We have made a lot of progress within the past month! All of the walls and trim have been completed, with safety features to prevent all those unnecessary bumps and scrapes from pointed edges, kitchen cabinets have been installed, and all plumbing has been added to all classrooms to ensure the highest quality of sanitation is being followed! Additionally, after 40 GALLONS of paint, we have a freshly painted and beautiful center!!! Next steps are the installation of brand new floors, the application process, and finally the creation of classrooms!!!

We’d like to thank all of the individuals who have put so much work into our building this far! Your hard work and attention to details have not went unnoticed! We will soon begin hiring our team, so be on the lookout!!!

We would also like to wish all of our families, old and new, a very Merry Christmas!!! We look forward to serving you in the very near future! ❤️💚❤️💚
