Friendly reminder that Ireland never had snakes. 🐍

Geologically impossible. The island was too cold during the Ice Age and too isolated afterward for snakes to ever establish themselves there.

So what exactly did Patrick "drive out?"

The Old Beliefs. The people who practiced them.
