I really enjoying vending opportunities! The chance to meet new people, see old friends, and get in depth about the medicine I make!

This year is the last year I will keep doing my muggle job at the expense of my spirit work 💗🙏🏻. So, keep your eyes out for us about town more!

If you notice some clothing there, and want to inquire 🤔! All slow sustainable fashion, no fabric materials newer than 5 years old; preferably made by hand in India. Staple, lifetime pieces. Think about it this way: $175 for a shirt you’ll wear (AND BE PROUD OF) ten years in a row= $17.50 cost per year (lower for per wear). Or the same cost for a new shirt every year that is costing our planet resources harder than nearly any other industry, made by severely disadvantaged hands…

OMG Ya’ll! This invasive species, Agrimony has absolutely taken over our bottom field! It has no ecological value, it outperforms native productive plants, the horses don’t eat it (it gets all up in their manes and is a nightmare to get out each week), and it is a bear to remove!
I 👏did👏not👏want👏to👏cut👏it!!! But I had no choice! All I can say is BONFIRE NIGHT! 🔥(Come volunteer cause we need all hands on deck!)

This is what your dollars helped us control this year with the farm race! The gas for this project was over $100 alone! Not counting my unpaid time for labor (20+ hours) or wear and tear/repair (the deck needs dropped and a wheel replaced!) for the nearly worn out 20 year old Hustler first of the zero turn mowers kept real good.

Y’all! It’s been so busy, but here’s a little catch up. Inventory got mostly resupplied, other things have to be harvested responsibly.

Black Cohosh was harvested, only taking 5% of the entire population in deep respect and reciprocity. My offering was well received in that most sacred of Ho/allows, and each plant was asked if it was willing to serve in this way. We have a half gallon now waiting to be used.

Carolina Reaper Peppers are continually being harvested when they are ready to fall off the plant. Drying takes days at a high heat for these peppers, I offer that knowledge so you know the care and energy put into these medicines and understand where the cost comes from.

And something else I have been trying to get off the ground sustainably for years!!! It’s coming together because I’ve finally found a good pattern source, and continue to find good suppliers who I deal with directly or only once removed due to distance. More will be revealed as progress is made, but I am so pumped! Literally I wake up every day thinking about this side of my life and how to develop it!

More consistent postings are my goal, but heavens it’s a chore! 😉

Got my yearly inventory done, new herbs ordered, new harvests sourced, new medicines on the way! I love getting elbow deep in this work, I’m always inspired to keep working at it even when it’s difficult to keep the faith that it’ll be impactful.

I know this medicine works, and that’s enough for me to stay motivated. I started this journey 13 years ago in Asheville in a really abusive relationship after a lifetime of hiding early abuse from outside the family. For my entire formative years from age 5-25 I hid the actions of a sexual abuser while he was venerated in our local community. It shaped who I was and how I had relationships, I knew I needed help when I started to grasp being an adult, but I could neither afford it nor would I ever take rx antidepressants (convo on that if you like!), I knew I would become one of the really sad statistics. I realized one day that I lived in a literal rainforest and there MUST be a solution out there for me. I ordered the Peterson’s field guide to medicinal plants for my region and fell deeply in love. My degree in Biology aided me deeply, and my Fine Arts degree helped me craft creative formulas from the start. Now after more than a decade of dedicated practice and learning, I am confident in my work, nobody can convince me that plant medicine is anything less than miraculous, and I know it is the path to “dying young at a very old age”.

Ask me anything you like, even if it’s controversial or extremely vulnerable (I’ve been through enough to know how sacred that is). Thank you so much to and for including us in this year’s Packet Pickup! We had a wonderful time getting to know the Charlotte running scene and made some great new friends! The best of luck to everyone running this year’s race! Come get dirty with us sometime on the trails with and see how enriching trail running can be. Just ask and .chains_ if it’s worth adding to your run options! 😆

It was really fun and energizing to open with for their morning warm up and run 🎉. It really set a great tone for the day!
