Last week we had the joy of honoring our wonderful Dietician, Margie, for her 18+ years of dedicated service to Benedictine Ellendale and Evergreen Place. 🩷

Her retirement party was filled with laughter, hugs, shared memories, and so many grateful faces. It’s clear how deeply she has touched the lives of our residents, families, and staff. Margie has nourished not only our bodies, but our hearts with her kindness, her wisdom, and her unwavering commitment to those she served.

As she steps into retirement, we wish her all the peace, joy, and well-earned rest this next chapter holds. Thank you, Margie, for everything you’ve poured into our community. You will always be a treasured part of the Benedictine family.

Snow is here—and so is Advent, said Rev. Scott Cartwright, Benedictine director of spiritual care, as he reflected on the season of Advent. Just as Minnesota snow is inevitable, so is the season of Advent, a time to embrace hope, peace, joy, and love. From Nov. 30 to Dec. 24, Christians reflect on Jesus’ coming and look forward with anticipation to his return. At Benedictine, we live these themes daily—through hopeful waiting, courageous peace-making, resilient joy, and self-giving love.
