Ideal Weight Loss of Ellensburg Ideal Protein is not a high-protein diet, it is an "ideal" protein diet. It supplies you with the FDA recommended amount of protein per day.

It is also low calorie (900 to 1200 calories per day), low fat and low carb. While on the protocol we temporarily take away carb-heavy foods such as fruit, dairy and breads/grains during phases 1 and 2 and then reintroduce them in a smart, healthy way in phase 3. The first 3 phases of the protocol include Ideal Protein products- 3 per day on Phase 1, 2 per day on Phase 2 and 1 per day on Phase 3. Phase 4 is simply maintaining your Ideal weight and you do not need to use Ideal Protein products on Phase 4. Since November of 2010, our total pounds lost has been 40,000 pounds! New clients begin with a 1 hour initial consult which includes education, weight/body fat analysis and selecting their meals for their first week. Each day the clients will have 2 meals and 1 snack supplied by Ideal Protein and 1 meal which they buy and prepare themselves. Clients come in for 20-30 minute appointments every week for weight & measurement progress analysis, coaching and education and pick up the next week's worth of Ideal Protein products. This year marks our 15-year Ideal Protein milestone!! Our founder and clinic manager Tami Izzi received an achievement award at our annual training this last weekend. Shown below is Tami with the founder of Ideal Protein Dr. Tran Tien Chanh, his sons Dimitri and Paco, and their business partner and long-time family friend, Rod Egger. Ideal Protein is family-owned and operated by these 4 guys.

*FUN FACT: Rod is also the owner and CEO of Bariatrix, which has been in his family since the late 1800s. Bariatrix is the world's leading protein food manufacturer; in 1990 they invented and patented the world's first protein bar containing more protein than carbohydrates.

SALSA on Protocol!! Delicious!!

Ideal Protein Salsa - Phase 1 Approved (yields 1 serving of restricted vegetables)

1 cup diced red bell pepper
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup diced cucumber
1/2 cup minced red onion
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 minced jalapeno pepper
1 T lemon juice
2 t sea salt

Mix together, refrigerate & serve with Taco Salad (recipe for IP Taco Salad coming later today!)
