And just like that, it’s 2026! 🎉🎊🥳

Even though the calendar says we’ve begun a new year, the Earth knows that her new beginning is in the Spring.

Let’s decide to leave behind the resolutions, the pressure to be fresh, the need to reach your goals right now, this moment, this month.

Instead, let January be about preparation. This is the time to decide what you want, the time to look forward with hope & excitement, the time to lay the groundwork for what’s on its way.

We’ll be practicing downward dog as our peak pose because it is such a foundational posture in yoga, it builds strength, alignment, and focus, literally preparing you for the practice ahead.

So go on and let yourself dream big! Start making plans, getting things in order, laying the groundwork. Just don’t feel pressured to act on it right this moment.

I hope so many wonderful blessings find you this year. This is the time to prepare yourself for when they arrive. ♥️

We’re bringing 2025 to a close and starting off 2026 in the most intentional way possible. Can you guess what our theme and peak pose will be?

Leave your guesses in the comments (or send a DM). All correct guesses will get a chance to win a prize that aligns with January’s energy.

Guessing ends before the ball drops on New Year’s Eve!

Just completed our 108 Sun Salutations & feeling ✨magical✨.

The Winter Solstice is all about honoring the duality of life, going inward, sitting with the shadow and accepting it, feeling it, looking at it without fear. It is a sacred pause, an awakening of inner wisdom, and a celebration of hope.

How are you celebrating the Solstice?

Big thanks to , , & for joining me today in meditation and celebration. ♥️

With the Winter Solstice coming up, many people will be working through 108 Sun Salutations so I’m bringing back this reel from 2 years ago to demonstrate shoulder positioning in chaturanga!

I’m never going to micromanage your body since only you know what’s best for you, but if you do plan on completing a bunch of Sun Salutes, you don’t want to end up with pain or injury.

Knees down is a really great way to maintain good form and keep your shoulders happy, especially when doing more than a few Sun Salutes all at once.

Speaking of… who is joining us tomorrow (Sunday 12/21) at 8:30 am for the Winter Solstice Celebration & Intention Ceremony?

Even if you don’t plan on doing any Sun Salutations at all, you’re still welcome to come & meditate. Bring your crystals, your journal, or a blanket for cozy meditation.

Come by the studio between now & the New Year to pick up a little gift from me* ♥️

It’s a mini version of the spray we use in class, plus a few fluorite and citrine crystals for extra purifying power.

Use it as a room spray, fabric refresher, hand sanitizer, or your own personal mat spray.

Thank you for being a part of our community. Happy Holidays! ✨♥️

It's time for another Student Spotlight! Meet , one of the kindest & most warm-hearted yogi's around (she's also the lady behind my favorite candles!).

Q:What’s one thing no one would expect about you?
A: I’m really shy & it took me so much courage to show up to my first class. I was so nervous about my abilities, what I would look like & scared about meeting new people.

Q: What got you into doing yoga?
A: I was mostly looking for something to get me out of the house & a way to move my body & gain flexibility. I would have never thought that it would become so much more to me. It has become my community, a place to be thankful for my body, I’ve met amazing friends, learned how to breathe through life’s ups and downs and built so much strength & flexibility in my body & mind.

Q: How do you practice yoga off the mat?
A: There’s honestly so many ways... The biggest one being to challenge yourself to be uncomfortable & to embrace it and breathe into it. (Mostly from Yin). I learned that I can be uncomfortable & I can train my mind to get through it and that’s where I find I grow the most. I recently challenged myself to run a 5k and yoga is what gave me the confidence to try it and the mental stamina to actually do it!

Q:What is your favorite pose & why?
A: My favorite pose is extended side angle because it is where I have made the most progress throughout my journey & it used to be very hard for me to do. I love that yoga has so many variations and ways to make it more challenging and in this pose I am really proud of how far I’ve come. Every time I do it I feel stronger & more flexible and it’s such a nice confidence boost.

Q: What advice do you have for someone just starting out with yoga?
A: Forget all about what you might look like or what level you are at & just feel what your body is telling you. It makes yoga truly so enjoyable when you honor the body you showed up in. I am so lucky I have Kayla as a teacher who has infused these values into her classes and I truly feel welcomed in absolutely any class in whatever shape my body/mind is in and that’s what’s so amazing about yoga - it’s for everyone!

Make sure to say hey in the comments!

After a month of grounding & nurturing ourselves, we’re bringing 2025 to a close with the spirit of giving to others.

We know this season is typically associated with gift giving in the material sense, and while that can be a beautiful expression of dāna, in classes we’ll seek out how we can be more giving of our time, our effort, our prayers & intentional thoughts, and even our words.

This month is all about how you can share your love with the people around you in ways that feel good, authentic, and aligned.

Happy Holiday Season ✨🎁
