🌟 We're thrilled to announce that Thriveable Therapies is an approved provider for the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA)! This scholarship empowers families to tailor their child's education with an average of $10,000 or more annually for therapies, private school tuition, and more.

🎓 FES-UA Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 🎓
1️⃣ Student must be a Florida resident.
2️⃣ Student is age 3 to 22 years old (or up to 12th grade, whichever comes first).
3️⃣ Student is NOT attending a public school.
4️⃣ Student has at least one of the following:
A completed IEP (Individualized Education Program); A disability diagnosis from a physician (e.g., speech or language disorder, Autism, Down syndrome, etc.); Or developmental delays in cognition, language, or physical development (considered "high risk").

Wondering what happens during feeding therapy sessions? 🍽️ At Thriveable Therapies, we make feeding therapy fun, enjoyable, and pressure-free for your child! 😊 During sessions, we’ll have you bring foods your child loves and does well with, along with foods they may struggle with. We observe their reactions to both foods to help us understand whether sensory or oral motor issues are at play and offer practical tips to help improve their feeding experience. We may also do stretches and exercises to help the child with chewing and swallowing when needed. We keep things fun, ensuring your child feels comfortable and confident during each session. 👶✨

AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and it refers to any method used to supplement or enhance spoken language for communication, such as using sign language, picture boards, or electronic devices. Research shows that using AAC only helps a child’s language skills improve, and does not hinder or replace their ability to communicate naturally. At Thriveable Therapies, we conduct evaluations to help families find which type of AAC may be best for your child, including various high-tech speech-generating devices.
