The mission of the Ellenville Regional Rural Health Network is to promote the improved health
The Ellenville Regional Rural Health Network is a collaborative team of local community stakeholders with a mission to continuously pursue healthier lives for everyone in our community. The Team is led by Ellenville Regional Hospital along with the Institute for Family Health (institute.org), Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County (ulster.cce.cornell.edu), and The Ulster County Department of Health and Mental Health (ulstercountyny.gov/health/health). Ellenville Regional Hospital’s Community Wellness Program delivers this mission by using a comprehensive four pillar approach to improve overall health. The four pillars are based upon services that increase exercise, improve nutrition, reduce health care risks, and provide support for Social Determinates of Health. With our current grant programs, we are offering services in all of the four pillars at no cost to the community. What We Do
The mission of the Ellenville Regional Rural Health Network (ERRHN) is to promote the improved health and health equity of our rural community through increasing access to services, and enhancing the local health and human service workforce.
The Rural Health Network Wellness Program is available at no cost to individuals and families with increased risk of cardiovascular and other chronic diseases. The program offers supportive resources such as a Community Health Worker, Nutritionist, Cardiac Wellness Rehab, Calcium Scoring Cat Scan, and Carotid Ultrasounds, among a number of other physical, nutritional, and educational classes.
Project RESCUE assists individuals in need to navigate their treatment and recovery journey. We can provide 24/7 Medication Assisted Recovery (Buprenorphine) in the Emergency Department, with a warm hand off to a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate and transition into treatment. We can also help with questions about accessing treatment, help finding the right treatment center, finding a way to sign up for insurance, etc.
We implement these programs in our Community with Grant funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration, Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), and the Bureau of Justice Assistance.
These grants allow us to provide our community with programs and workshops such as those mentioned above.
