🌱 This Friday at CoDesign Commons- Caregiving: Preparing to care and be cared for 🌱

Community members are warmly invited to join our Food for Thought Brown Bag Lunch Speaker Series this Friday, February 6, from 12:00–1:30 PM as we kick off February’s theme: Crucial Conversations in Later Life.

We’re excited to welcome Amy Guerrattaz as our featured speaker. Amy is the Dementia Outreach Specialist for Monroe and Owen Counties and the Activities & Programming Manager at The Endwright Centers, senior community centers through Area 10 Agency on Aging. This year marks her fifth year with Area 10, where she has also served as a Care Manager, Information & Referral Specialist, and Options Counselor. Prior to that, Amy worked as a Social Service Director at Meadow Lakes Senior Living and Aspen Trace Senior Living.

Amy is deeply passionate about increasing awareness and understanding of dementia and helping people enhance all aspects of their wellbeing. When she’s not working, she enjoys cooking, camping, kayaking, hiking, crocheting—and most of all, spending time with family and friends.

Many thanks to the wonderful souls with the Owen County Indiana Democratic Party for collecting winter coats and donating to us for handing out to folks on our Rural Transit routes! Working together to keep people warm and safe in our community!

Thanks to our friends Community Kitchen, Area 10 staff and volunteers, many local home-bound seniors received a delicious, hot, homemade Thanksgiving dinner! We've had this partnership for many years and look forward to doing the same on Christmas. Two great, local organizations blending shared missions in action for our community. Happy Thanksgiving!
