With a sharp eye for detail and a hands-on approach to problem-solving, Rick ensures that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes—from HVAC systems to emergency repairs. His leadership keeps our facilities safe, efficient, and ready for action.
💬 Rick in His Own Words
I became part of the Richland-Bean Blossom Health Care Center team in May of 2025, and it’s been a great experience since day one.
Before joining Richland-Bean Blossom Health Care Center, I spent several decades working in the construction and maintenance field. Most recently, I served as the Facilities Manager at a local charter school. When my father’s health declined, I made the decision to leave that position to provide full-time care for him. Once his needs required a higher level of support in a long-term care setting, I transitioned back into the workforce and was grateful to find an opportunity here at RBB.
The most rewarding part of my job is knowing that the work we do directly impacts our residents’ comfort and safety. As Maintenance Director, that’s always my top priority. I’m fortunate to have an incredible team who share that commitment and care for our residents as if they were their own family. Together, we take pride in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment every day.
My advice to new employees is to find meaning in what you do. Work is work, but when you focus on providing the very best care for our residents, it becomes more than just a job — it becomes a purpose. That sense of purpose is what drives us to give our best every day to the people who depend on us most.
A professional goal I’m currently working toward is making our facility one of the safest and most comfortable environments possible for residents and their families. I understand firsthand how difficult it can be to entrust a loved one to someone else’s care, and I want families to have complete peace of mind knowing their loved ones are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. My goal — and my team’s goal — is to create an environment that eases stress and allows both residents and families to feel confident and at home.
