We are getting closer to longer, warmer days - in the meantime, use these dark, cold winter days to rest, restore your energy, and slow down. Even if you really hate the cold and don’t feel your best in the winter, you can use these months to focus on self care. That can be different for everyone - for some, self care can look like staying in, reading books by the fireplace, cooking meals, watching movies. For others, winter can feel isolating. If that sounds familiar, be sure to reach out to friends and put things in the calendar, so you have something to look forward to, a conversation with a good friend can do wonders for your mental health. Recognize what serves you best and do more of that. Be sure to include yoga, walks outside, acupuncture treatments, massages, and therapy in your routine.
