LVMG’s sales team recently hosted a Chef’s Tasting Dinner exclusively for our Premier Waitlist members. This monthly experience features a thoughtfully curated three-course meal, perfectly paired with wines to complement each course.

It’s a delicious new tradition—replacing our Zest and Pub dinner drawings—with time to savor incredible flavors, connect with others and get a true taste of the lifestyle at LVMG. Cheers to great food and even better company! 🥂

How do you advocate for your residents?

Jhila's response:
As a social worker, advocacy is one of the key aspects of my role within the Miller’s Grant community. Every day when I arrive at work, my goal is to help residents live their best and most fulfilling lives by supporting their needs, however big or small. As a social worker, I focus on making sure that resident rights are being upheld, and that the needs and voices of residents are being heard and respected.

This past Saturday, our Life Enrichment and Resident Life teams hosted our monthly craft, bringing together residents from independent living, assisted living and health care. Together, they designed beautiful wine glasses using glass paint markers and stencils—each one as unique as the person who created it!

With music playing, snacks to enjoy and plenty of great conversation, it was an afternoon filled with laughter, creativity and community. Moments like these are what make life here so special.

What does defending resident dignity mean to you?

Michaela's answer:
To me, this can be done in a variety of ways, but there is always one purpose—Put the resident first. As in, the resident, not their disease, concern, etc. I look at each resident as an individual and my primary focus is to encourage them to control what they can, celebrate the small wins, learn ways to adapt and pivot to the everchanging world and issues, and to ensure they are free of humiliation, harm or even being the “talk of the community.” It means respecting everyone for who they are despite any challenges they are experiencing.

March is Social Work Month, and at Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant, we’re honored to recognize the incredible social workers who support our residents and families each day.

This year’s theme — Uplift. Defend. Transform. — captures the impact they make through advocacy, compassion and guidance during life’s most important moments.

Throughout the month, we’ll be highlighting members of our team and sharing their reflections on what uplift, defend and transform means in their work here at LVMG. Stay tuned as we celebrate the difference they make every day.

An unforgettable evening with the Seth Kibel Quintet!

Guests enjoyed classic jazz and swing from the Great American Songbook, featuring favorites by George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman, plus a lively touch of klezmer. Seth’s engaging stories and musical insight made the performance even more special.

Happy 10 year anniversary Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant!

Over the past 10 years, LVMG has grown into a place where residents thrive, friendships flourish and team members bring compassion and excellence to every day. From unforgettable events and innovative programs to meaningful moments shared between residents and team members, LVMG has truly become a place many are proud to call home.

Recently, we hosted a special celebration commemorating LVMG’s 10-year anniversary — a joyful gathering filled with reflection, gratitude and excitement for what’s to come. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the people and moments that have shaped our first decade together.

To our residents, families, team members and supporters — thank you for being part of our story. Your trust, dedication and spirit have shaped LVMG into the warm, welcoming community it is today.

Here’s to celebrating the memories we’ve made together and the exciting future ahead!
