It's Wellness Wednesday ๐ Today, we're here to remind you that self-compassion is a recovery skill.
Research shows that treating oneself with kindness and compassion, especially during setbacks, is associated with lower stress, improved emotional regulation, and greater persistence in behavior change. In recovery, self-compassion helps reduce shame, which can interfere with treatment engagement and healing.
Personal growth is made possible in environments of support -- particularly, self-support. So, be patient with yourself and know that we are here to help.
