Another way our residents support their wellness is through Tai Chi classes. These sessions were led by Herb Parran, who guided participants through the many elements that make Tai Chi such a meaningful and restorative practice. His instruction helped our residents build balance, mindfulness, and strength in a calm, supportive environment.

New Year’s Eve came and went in true Creek Valley style — filled with wonderful music, delicious food, and plenty of laughter and connection. Residents enjoyed a festive menu featuring crisp wedge salads, tender short ribs, and delightful raspberry bundt cakes. The Ruprecht Trio set the tone for the evening with lively music that had many residents up on their feet dancing. At 7:00 PM — our version of midnight — everyone gathered for a cheerful countdown. We sang Auld Lang Syne together and raised our glasses for a sparkling champagne toast to welcome the year ahead. A night of community, joy, and celebration — the perfect way to start a new chapter.

Our residents came out in full force — cookies in hand — for our 3rd Annual Creek Valley Cookie Walk. For those who weren’t able to bake but still wanted to join the fun, a $5 donation provided a container to fill with treats. All proceeds were gifted to our Knitting Group to support their projects for the new year.

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised just over $140. We truly have a special group of residents.

Last Sunday, we gathered with our families for a wonderful Christmas Brunch filled with festive cheer and delicious food. From the Carving Station to the Dessert Table, and all the way to the Salad Bar, every detail was thoughtfully prepared to create a warm and joyful holiday experience. It was a beautiful day of togetherness, laughter, and holiday spirit — a perfect way to celebrate the season with family and friends.
