πŸŽ—οΈ Ribbon of the Month Spotlight

This month, we are honoring the purple ribbon, which represents Pancreatic Cancer Awareness. πŸ’œ
November is designated as Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month a time to raise understanding, support those impacted, and promote early detection and research.

Pancreatic cancer begins in the pancreas, an organ that produces enzymes to help digest food and hormones that regulate blood sugar. Because symptoms often appear only in the later stages, awareness and early detection are key to improving outcomes.

Know the Risk Factors

Several factors can increase a person’s risk of developing pancreatic cancer, including:
β€’ Family history of pancreatic or related cancers
β€’ Smoking or long-term to***co use
β€’ Chronic pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas)
β€’ Diabetes or obesity
β€’ Advancing age

If you have concerns or risk factors, please consult your healthcare provider about screenings and preventive steps.

Join Us in Raising Awareness

πŸ’œ Wear purple this month to show your support for pancreatic cancer awareness.
πŸ’œ Share stories of hope, resilience, and remembrance.
πŸ’œ Encourage early detection talk to friends and family about knowing their risks.

Together, we can bring light to pancreatic cancer, support survivors and families, and inspire hope through action, education, and compassion.

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month.
🫁 🀍🫁

This November, let us stand together to raise awareness about lung cancer and uplift those who are courageously fighting this disease.

Lung cancer develops when abnormal cells grow uncontrollably in the lungs, usually beginning in the cells that line the airways. Because the disease often shows few or no symptoms in its early stages, it is frequently diagnosed late when treatment options may be more limited.

But early awareness and action save lives.
By learning about the risks such as smoking, environmental exposure, and family history and by encouraging early screening and healthy habits, we can help prevent lung cancer and improve outcomes for those affected.

Together, We Can Make a Difference
β€’ Support survivors and families listen to their stories, honor their strength, and remind them they are not alone.
β€’ Encourage screenings especially for those with risk factors or persistent symptoms.
β€’ Promote smoke-free living at home, at work, and in our communities.
β€’ Wear white or pearl this month to show your solidarity and raise awareness.

Each act of compassion, each conversation, and each effort to spread awareness helps bring hope.
Let’s move forward together for prevention, for early detection, and for the lives and loved ones we stand to save.
