October is full of healthcare recognitions — and for good reason. It takes a diverse team of experts working together to keep quality care close to home. 💚

At ECMC, we’re proud to recognize Angela Broaderway, PharmD, Director of Pharmacy, during American Pharmacists Month.

In a critical access hospital, pharmacists do far more than often realized. They safeguard every aspect of medication use — ensuring accuracy, safety, and effectiveness for each patient.

In addition to overseeing drug inventory and compliance to ensure smooth, safe operations across our hospital, Angela is a leader in our antibiotic stewardship education to promote safe and effective medication use.

Her expertise impacts every department and every patient 💊

From post-surgical rehabilitation & injury recovery to strengthening mobility & improving quality of life — our physical therapists help patients get back to doing what they love, right here close to home.

And soon, they’ll have an even greater space to serve our community. Through ECMC’s Elevate Health project, our Rehabilitation Department is expanding to include more treatment rooms, advanced equipment, and a design that reflects the exceptional care our therapists deliver every day.

We’re celebrating our PT professionals this month — and every month — for the strength, compassion, and expertise they bring to every patient journey. 💙

At ECMC, we understand that mammography can make some women feel anxious, so when we designed our new Mammography Suite, comfort was our top priority. From the soothing colors and soft lighting to the peaceful atmosphere, every detail was created to help patients feel calm and cared for.

Since opening last year, our patients have shared how much the ambiance makes a difference — turning what can be a stressful appointment into a truly positive experience. 💕

Today is National Mammography Day — a reminder that early detection saves lives. 💗

Salina Regional Health Center provides cardiology services at Ellsworth County Medical Center on the third Monday of each month. Comprehensive services include echocardiograms, EKGs, coronary angiography, stress tests, treatment of congestive heart failure, WATCHMAN™ and TAVR. 📞Call 785-452-6492 for an appointment.

Together, we’re expanding access to cardiology services so our patients can receive specialized care closer to home.
