Ellsworth County Medical Center offers a 24/7 emergency room and trauma room staffed by Advanced Cardiac Life Support–trained professionals, as well as comprehensive physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, respiratory therapy, medical nutrition therapy, and a fully staffed nursing unit providing skilled care, acute care, and respite care. Our diagnostic services include laboratory testing and a full radiology suite featuring digital mammography, MRI, digital bone density scanning, ultrasound, and x-ray. We also provide an exceptional outpatient clinic that hosts several specialties, including cardiology, gastroenterology, licensed counseling, orthopedics, pain management, rheumatology, surgical services, and wound care. ECMC is home to four rural health clinic locations: Ellsworth, Holyrood, Lucas, and Wilson. Focusing on preventative care, chronic disease management, and overall wellness —we proudly deliver primary care for all stages of life. The Ellsworth Rural Health Clinic additionally offers access to a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) and a Saturday-morning walk-in clinic (SatCare), available every Saturday from 8:00–11:00 a.m.

Ellsworth County Medical Center recently mailed informational letters to some patients regarding a limited-time financial relief opportunity.

👉 Important to know:
• The letter is for informational purposes only
• Receiving the letter does NOT necessarily mean you have a bill with us
• If you know you do not have an outstanding balance, you may disregard the letter

For patients who do have an outstanding balance, the letter outlines a 50% balance reduction opportunity available during February and March.

🚨UPDATE: Due to worsening weather conditions, our SatCare Clinic AND our cafeteria will be closed Saturday, January 24th.

Due to the impending winter storm and dangerously cold temperatures, our cafeteria will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, January 24, to help keep patients, visitors, and staff safe.

Our SatCare Clinic is being actively monitored as we continue to watch weather and travel conditions. A closure is possible, and we encourage everyone to stay tuned for updates.

Our Emergency Room will remain open for emergency care.

As part of our ongoing rehabilitation expansion project, the Administrative Building will be temporarily closed from Monday, January 12 through Thursday, January 15 due to construction.

During this time:
📌 Patients needing to pick up medical records should report to the front admissions desk at the main hospital entrance.
📞 To request medical records, please call (785) 472-3111 ext. 1116 to allow time for processing prior to pickup.

Additionally, a reminder that our Financial Counselors are now PERMANENTLY located at the Ellsworth Rural Health Clinic.
💳 Patients wishing to make a payment or discuss their bill may visit the Ellsworth Rural Health Clinic during regular business hours.
