Ellsworth County Medical Center offers a 24/7 emergency room and trauma room staffed by Advanced Cardiac Life Support–trained professionals, as well as comprehensive physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, respiratory therapy, medical nutrition therapy, and a fully staffed nursing unit providing skilled care, acute care, and respite care. Our diagnostic services include laboratory testing and a full radiology suite featuring digital mammography, MRI, digital bone density scanning, ultrasound, and x-ray. We also provide an exceptional outpatient clinic that hosts several specialties, including cardiology, gastroenterology, licensed counseling, orthopedics, pain management, rheumatology, surgical services, and wound care. ECMC is home to four rural health clinic locations: Ellsworth, Holyrood, Lucas, and Wilson. Focusing on preventative care, chronic disease management, and overall wellness —we proudly deliver primary care for all stages of life. The Ellsworth Rural Health Clinic additionally offers access to a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) and a Saturday-morning walk-in clinic (SatCare), available every Saturday from 8:00–11:00 a.m.

🚧 Important Notice for Tomorrow 4/3 🚧

On Friday, April 3, we will be replacing a rooftop unit (RTU) on campus.

For that day only:
❌The Clinic Entrance and Glass Tunnel will be CLOSED
➡️ Clinic patients should enter through the Physical Therapy entrance and follow posted signage.
➡️ Outpatient and hospital services will continue using the main entrance as normal.

We appreciate your patience as we complete this necessary facility upgrade to better serve our patients.

📚🎩 Oh, the Places Compassion Goes! 🎩📚

Last week our team celebrated Dr. Seuss Week at Ellsworth County Medical Center. Families visiting the clinic for well-child checks received Dr. Seuss themed goodies through our TAP-TAM (Turn a Page. Touch a Mind.) celebration — all about encouraging healthy kids and a lifelong love of reading.

We also carried the Seuss theme into our Employee Appreciation activities, with a week of fun moments recognizing the incredible team that cares for our community every day 🌟

Compassion, kindness, and going the extra mile are part of what makes our team special — and it’s the same spirit that defines the nurses we honor through the DAISY Award.

ECMC Rural Health Clinic will be closed Friday, March 13th to allow our staff the opportunity to attend a memorial service and support one another during a difficult time.
Patients with scheduled appointments that day will be contacted to assist with rescheduling.

Our hospital, outpatient services, and emergency department will remain open. SatCare clinic will be open on March 14th, 8-11am.

We are grateful for the compassion and understanding of our community as we stand alongside those who are grieving.
