🌟 It’s that time of year again for our Annual First Responder Food Drive! 🌟

Each year, Ellsworth County’s emergency services come together to support our local food banks and help families in need during the holiday season. 🚑🚒🚓

Join us as EMS, fire, law enforcement, dispatch, and other first responders unite to collect food and donations for those who need it most. Every can and contribution makes a difference!

📅 Collection Dates & Locations:

* Wilson Grocery Store (Wilson Foods) : Friday, November 7th | 4:00–7:00 PM

* Ellsworth Grocery Store (Gene's Heartland, Ellsworth): Friday, November 14th | 4:00–7:00 PM

* Ellsworth Grocery Store (Gene's Heartland, Ellsworth): Saturday, November 15th | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM

🏠 Can’t make it to one of our collection sites? Non-perishable food items can be dropped off anytime at the Ellsworth County EMS Station, 1107 Evans Street, Ellsworth.

Ellsworth Childcare and Learning Center is a part of the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition!

Reading improves attention span, builds vocabulary, increases brain power, and strengthens bonding. Families that breastfeed can help teach their children that all mammals nurse their young, promoting understanding and connection from an early age.

📅 Save the Date! Nov 15-16 for our Fill a Truck Food Drive!

🚚 We’re putting our community spirit in gear! Help us Fill our ECMC Truck with food donations for our local food bank at Gene’s Heartland Foods, 745 O’Donnell Drive, Ellsworth, KS. Donations accepted Nov 15 at 12PM through Nov 16 at 7PM — every contribution, from one can to a whole case, helps fuel hope and put meals on the table for families right here in Ellsworth County.

🍝 Food Bank Needs: Tuna, Hamburger Helper, Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Canned Fruit, Jelly, Hygiene Items, Toilet Paper

👉👉Plus, this week is International Stress Awareness Week (Nov 3–7). As we head into the busy holiday season, remember to take a few moments for yourself. Try a short walk, deep breathing, or a quiet cup of coffee — small moments can make a big difference!
