ECLC’s annual Easter Egg Hunt took place on Friday and was a huge success! The children had so much fun hunting for eggs, exploring the playground, and enjoying time with their friends. It was a day full of excitement, smiles, and sweet memories we will cherish!

A huge shoutout and THANK YOU to our amazing staff for ensuring everything ran smoothly and for their egg-cellent egg hiding skills—you made the day extra special!

Preschool 1 did some egg painting with a fun little twist! The kids loved watching what happened to their eggs as they experimented with baking soda, water, and vinegar to create beautiful designs.

Not only was it exciting, but activities like this help support developmental skills such as fine motor coordination, sensory exploration, and early science discovery. So much fun while learning!

Toddler 1 had a blast on their very own Easter egg hunt!

Believe it or not, activities like egg hunts do more than bring big smiles! They help build important motor skills. From bending and squatting to picking up and carrying eggs, our toddlers were practicing balance, coordination, and fine motor control!

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to recognize and strengthen ongoing prevention efforts as we continue to support families and children.

This year’s theme is: , and there are many ways you can help us in our mission of raising awareness during Child Abuse Prevention Month and beyond.

You can:
• Join DCF and Kansas Children's Service League for Wear Blue Day and a Pinwheel Planting event at the Statehouse in Topeka on April 10.
• Plant your own pinwheel garden (the official symbol of child abuse prevention) with friends or family.
