Too real. Here in Maine there are slim pickings as far as men. They are often married or in "situationships". Dear God no thank you! 🤣😁😝 My standard list of questions I try to get answered to before fully opening to them emotionally includes:

Are you in a relationship?

Where are you on your journey towards life fulfillment?

Have you ever struggled with addiction?

Did you vote for Trump?

Are you employed?

Do you like your job?

What are your Spiritual beliefs?

Do you have a car?

It may seem like a tall order but I already wasted so much time on low value relationships.

When someone's lying to me I've learned there's often times to sit back and let 'em talk.

Try giving people the opportunity to really show their true energy. Let them go on and on and dig their own hole. If they think they're still in your blind spot they'll usually share things they wish they hadn't later. And you won't have expended any energy.🥰⚡

I'm not talking about when someone's rights are being violated, are victim to a crime, their family is being targeted or put at risk in any way. I'll stand up and put an end to that BS immediately every time.

When people were lying to me in my teens and 20's would always blaze in and call them out. Even when I was right it often still didn't change anything. People are going to be who they are. It takes a lot of energy to get that emotionally invested. There will always be sh*t$÷ people in the world. Being the "truth police" includes physical stress and emotional exhaustion from the conflict. There is an energy cost. And a vibrational cost.

I'm now a much better observer of how my energy and body reacts to things. Calling a snake a snake in a room full of people who can't see the grass, and wasting energy to convince them to see the snake is emotionally exhausting. It rarely changes the outcome when people are determined to believe what they want to believe.

You can try to warn people but they will still choose their own path. Sometimes things have to literally implode for people to see the deception they fought so hard against seeing earlier. If they'd listened, sure their path would have been easier. But people have free will & can learn lessons the hard way. If they align with deception vibes that shows where they are on the character scale.

Sometimes people still need to fu$% their life up more before they get it. You can drop breadcrumbs to try & help without getting energetically entangled. Observe, don't absorb.

Plus nobody likes an arrogant "know it all" type. I shi$ you not guys, I share around 30% of what I perceive in daily life.

Sometimes things have to undeniably fall apart before someone can see. As hard as I've tried I've never once changed a dishonest prick by calling them a dishonest prick.

​When we're around toxic people, our nervous system can go into overdrive. Disassociation is a way to mentally distance ourselves, creating a buffer to protect our emotions and energy from their negativity.

I’ve hated this woman. 💔 I’ve not loved her at full capacity. 😔 I’ve fed her lies and told her she wasn’t good enough and allowed others to tell her she wasn't good enough too. 😞

I’ve allowed her to be broken. 💔 I've allowed others to treat her disrespectfully. 😠 I didn't nurture her like I should have. 😔 I’ve allowed her to run through brick walls and battle for others who won’t even stand up for her. 😤 She has made many mistakes but learned from each one to become the woman she is now. 💪

I couldn’t stop individuals from abandoning her. 💔 She has shed blood, sweat, and tears and had days she didn't want to be alive because life got so heavy to bear. I’ve seen her still get up and stand to be a light to the world and love others despite all that. ✨

She has stood paralyzed by fear while she fought battles in her mind, heart, and soul. 😟 She's experienced debilitating grief from many losses that made her chest literally fell like it was caving in.

She's faced the darkest depths of many traumas. 💜 She never gave up even though there were many days she thought it was too much pain to bear. She faced it and walked through the fire and stayed clean and sober.

This woman has screwed up many times as a mother, cousin, friend, sister, and leader because she doesn’t always say or do the "right things." 🤷🏽‍♀️ She has secrets. 🤫 She occasionally struggles. 😔 She has scars because she has a history. 🤕 The scars prove she is stronger than whatever tries to defeat or kill her. 💪

Some people love this woman. ❤️ Some like her, and some don't. 🤱🏽 She has done good in her life. 👍 She has done bad in her life. 👎 She is random and sometimes silly. 🤪 She can be too quick to react and has unintentionally hurt people😒. She has tried to change herself to accommodate others. 😔 She will not pretend to be someone she is not. 💪 Not anymore. 🙅‍♀️ She is who she is. 💯

You can love her or not. 💖 But if she loves you, she will do it with her whole heart. 💜 She will go to war for someone she loves. She will make no apologies for the way she is. 💯 This woman is a WARRIOR and a SURVIVOR. 🤸🏽‍♀️ She ’s not perfect, but she always tries her hardest!

Running to me is therapy, meditation, relaxation, and freedom. I still get that feeling we got as kids when we got new sneakers and ran faster! I'm not competing against anyone but myself.

Over the last 2 years, I've been knocked down and ran over so many times. Had many, many dark nights of the soul. I've traversed my deepest fears and pains. Cried so hard I ran out of tears. Prayed on my knees, begging to God for strength. I've been angry, punching at a pillow screaming. Struggling with grief for many losses. My soul was put through a meat grinder. I've done a TON of tough inner work to overcome multiple traumas. There will still be bad days, but I will force myself to face them, now with 11 ½ years clean and 5½ sober. I've stopped beating on myself. I finally feel like my resilient self again.

Things will still be hard occasionally, but I will ALWAYS get back up and work with the blessings I do have! Sweet Willow is my biggest cheerleader. I wish I could take her running, but she can't tolerate the heat. She's my biggest cheerleader. Every time I get back from a run she greets me so happy with a wiggle butt.

If you don't think you can do something, you won't. If you believe and work hard, well, yes, you can! Nothing is more powerful than our Will combined with action and Faith. 🙏🏽🏃🏽‍♀️💫🦿❤️
