Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Maine women, with more than 1,400 new diagnoses annually in the state, and about one in eight women in the US. When caught at an early stage, the 5-year survival rate is 99%.

How do you get your employees even more excited about the work they do? You throw in a little fun recognition. Recently, some of our teams went above and beyond and received fun beads - remember the 80's beads on the safety pin?

Team members received beads for different positive actions:

Looking for an easy way to remember how to keep your baby safe when they're sleeping?

Here are the “ABCs” of Infant Safe Sleep:

• A - Alone: Your baby should sleep alone in their own crib, bassinet, or play yard. Avoid bed-sharing, and keep the sleep area clear of blankets, pillows, and toys.

• B - Back: Always place your baby on their back to sleep, for both naps and nighttime, for up to their first year.

• C - Crib: Use a safety-approved crib, bassinet, or play yard with a firm, flat, and fitted mattress.

The 27th Annual Schoodic Scramble teed off on Saturday September 6 at the Grindstone Neck Golf Course in Winter Harbor with 22 teams competing. Winners this year were Team Emerton- Mixed, Team Sargent- Ladies, and Team Murphy- Men’s.
