Yesterday, we had the opportunity to be part of something pretty special at the Kansas Association of Community Foundations event—and it’s exactly the kind of moment that reminds us why we do what we do at ECMC.

A huge thank you to Colby Richard Smoky Hills Community Foundation and all of the incredible attendees who show up for their communities every single day. Your work doesn’t go unnoticed.

We’re especially proud of our presenters, Emily Lindsley, Nurse Practitioner, and Leah Womelsdorf, LCSW, who led a powerful session on stress, burnout, setting boundaries, self-identity, and the often unseen “invisible workload” carried by those in philanthropic roles. It was real, relevant, and deeply impactful.

At ECMC, we believe our employees are more than their job titles. They are educators, advocates, leaders, and changemakers—bringing their passions and expertise beyond our walls and into the communities we serve.

Future Starts Here.

We had a blast at the EJSHS Career Fair connecting with students and sharing what a future in healthcare can look like!

Our booth stayed busy with Healthcare Jeopardy (and let’s be honest… the Takis 🌶️ may have helped with that) while students explored different parts of healthcare with our team — from Radiology, to learning why HIPAA and patient privacy matter, to practicing their interview skills.

And yes… some even got the chance to hear directly from our CEO about leadership and the future of healthcare.
