I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of John Barnes. I had the honor of studying under him, and as a massage therapist specializing in myofascial release, his influence will always be a part of my work and my life.
Beyond the techniques, John taught the importance of keeping an open mind, of listening, learning, and allowing curiosity to guide healing. Though he is no longer with us, his teachings live on through the countless therapists and clients whose lives he touched.
I will always be grateful for the opportunity to learn from him. Rest easy, and thank you for the legacy you leave behind.

Interesting read and study.
“Our work shows a very clear connection between mechanical stimulation and immune function. This has promise for regenerating a wide variety of tissues including bone, tendon, hair, and skin, and can also be used in patients with diseases that prevent the use of drug-based interventions.”

Using a controlled massage system, researchers found that treatment led to greater repair and strength recovery in mice.

Hello all. It's been a while, and I hope and pray you are staying safe!
Announced today, "Safer at Home" has been extended until May 26th. If you are booked in May, I will be contacting you to reschedule.
This has been tough, but I understand what needs to be done to protect everyone.
Hope you are well, safe, and healthy! Everyone hang tight, and I hope to see you in June!

I have been following the COVID-19 pandemic as it progresses and want to be socially responsible and follow the guidelines put forth by federal, state and local officials. Therefore, it does not make sense to be open when those authorities are specifically advising against being within three feet of each other. As uncertainty surrounding this threat escalates on an hourly basis, I have decided to proceed with extreme caution and temporarily close Phlow.
