“They hurt me… but I get it.”

That sentence tells me everything.

You learned how to understand everyone else before anyone really understood you.

So you got really good at giving grace,
making excuses,keeping the peace…
even when it cost you.

That’s not your fault.

But we can get to a place
where you don’t have to lose yourself
just to keep someone else.

Switched from crime shows → calm shows and my brain noticed immediately.
I thought I was “relaxing”… but my nervous system was still on edge.

Started watching Doc Martin (peaceful little English town, no crime, just calm vibes) and within days I felt less anxious and stopped overthinking at night.

What you watch isn’t neutral 🤍

Finding peace…

When therapy starts working, you begin showing up differently.
Boundaries get clearer.
Your energy gets protected.
And sometimes people do not recognize the new version of you.
That is usually a sign of growth.

When millennials start noticing how much of life has been spent staring at a screen. The scrolling. The texting. The
"just one more minute."
Our phones are amazing tools, but they can quietly take our time, attention, and peace.
The hopeful part is this.
The moment you notice it is the moment you can start taking your time back.

If your brain replays conversations long after they're over, you're not alone.
Overthinking is often your nervous system trying to protect you, not hurt you.
Therapy can help you learn how to quiet the replay and feel more at peace in your own mind. less

Therapy isn't about changing him.
It's about deciding what you will and won't tolerate.
If you keep finding yourself drawn to emotionally unavailable partners, there's usually a deeper attachment story there.
I offer therapy for women and millennials in Wisconsin who are ready to break that cycle.

Real peace isn't seasonal. You take it with YOU.

Many people think peace comes from having an easier life or fewer responsibilities.
But as therapists, we often notice something different.
The people who seem the most peaceful are usually the ones who have learned how to protect their energy.
They say no when something doesn’t align with them, they are intentional about who they spend time with, and they stop trying to make everyone happy.
Peace usually isn’t something that suddenly appears. It is something people slowly build by setting boundaries and choosing environments that feel safe.
