Massage is more than just relief for tight muscles. It is the chance for your body to release stuck/suppressed negative emotions that can become built up inside the tissues over time. Emotions such as such as stress, grief, frustration and anxiety/depression. Knots/tension are not the only issues in your tissues. That’s why it’s important to do things for your mental AND physical health.
Massage can truly be an opportunity for your nervous system to activate, easing you into a more restful state, and there are many benefits to obtaining that type of peace for your entire body. I encourage you to make time for yourself to rest, by taking a nap, going on a nature walk, getting a massage/reiki, doing some gentle yoga/stretching, or meditating - even if it’s just taking 3 deep breaths.
Your body does SO much for you, and it’s SO important to find small ways throughout your day to nourish it and say thank you 😊
You deserve rest, you deserve good health, and you deserve PEACE. Everything else can wait! You MUST make yourself your biggest priority when it comes to self care, it’s a non negotiable.
