Summit Pacific is a vibrant and expanding public hospital district that operates a Critical Access Ho Our hospital is unique due to our size and accessibility.

Summit Pacific Medical Center is a Critical Access Hospital with a level IV Trauma Designation. We offer 24-hour emergency services including a full service laboratory and diagnostic imaging department. Our Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours, 7 days a week by an ED Physician. We also operate three rural healthcare clinics an urgent care clinic that is open seven days a week and a virtual care clinic. We pride ourselves on our low emergency department wait times and our ability to give patients access to a doctor quickly.

Summit Pacific Medical Center is excited to announce the opening of our new Podiatry Clinic, expanding access to specialized foot and ankle care for patients in East Grays Harbor County and beyond.

We’re proud to welcome Emily Opp, DPM, a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon with extensive experience in diabetic limb salvage, chronic wound management, sports medicine, and foot and ankle reconstruction. Dr. Opp has a strong background in both private practice and hospital-based care, providing treatment for complex conditions and performing a wide range of surgical procedures.

Our Podiatry Clinic Services Include:
• General and diabetic foot care
• Sports injury evaluation and treatment
• Management of chronic foot and ankle conditions
• Deformity management and reconstruction
• Pediatric & geriatric foot care
• Orthotics, bracing, and dermatological care

With a provider referral, anyone is welcome to seek care at Summit Pacific’s Podiatry Clinic.

Last Thursday, we gathered to celebrate an incredible milestone — the retirement of Dr. Hutton.

HELPING PATIENTS RECOVER, REBUILD, AND RETURN HOME:
Summit Pacific Launches Restorative Care Program

Summit Pacific Medical Center has introduced a new Restorative Care Program, offering patients a comfortable and supportive environment to recover from surgery or serious illness before returning home. The program, which began in recent weeks, provides skilled nursing and rehabilitation services designed to help patients regain strength and independence through personalized care and therapy.

Located within Summit Pacific’s hospital, the Restorative Care Program delivers 24-hour, in-hospital skilled nursing care complemented by physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Patients benefit from access to on-site ancillary services, including laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, and a 24/7 emergency department—all just steps away.

“Restorative care bridges the gap between hospital and home,” said Lesley Kinzner, MSN, RN, Care Management Supervisor. “Our goal is to provide a healing environment where patients can focus on rebuilding strength and confidence while receiving exceptional care from our dedicated nursing and therapy teams.”

Patients within the program enjoy private rooms, made-to-order meals tailored to their preferences, and a low patient-to-nurse ratio that ensures individualized attention. Additional services include IV therapy, wound care, nutrition counseling, social services, and customized weekend exercise plans. Each patient’s progress is supported by regular meetings with the care team to coordinate treatment and plan for a smooth transition home.

Summit Pacific’s Restorative Care Program offers a unique blend of hospital-level support and rehabilitation-focused recovery — all within the safety and convenience of a local healthcare setting.

Lauren was recognized for her patient and compassionate care, going above and beyond to ensure her patients and their families felt informed, supported, and cared for.

“Lauren went above and beyond, making sure my husband understood everything that was going on. She shared stories with him about medical advances that help in the field—he was a medic. She also showed me how the blood pressure cuff works, which is so helpful since both my son and husband have high blood pressure. She was everything you would want in an ER nurse.”

Last night, Summit Pacific Medical Center was proud to host the Greater Grays Harbor Inc. Business After Hours, an inspiring evening of networking, learning, and community connection, all while recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

A huge thank you to our very own Chief Operating Officer & Chief Nursing Officer, Tori Bernier, for sharing her insights and representing Summit Pacific so beautifully, and to Rep. Emily Randall for joining us and engaging in meaningful conversation.

We’d also like to extend our gratitude to the Summit Pacific Medical Foundation for planning and organizing this wonderful event, and to everyone who came out to connect and celebrate with us!
