12/20/2025
Tomorrow kicks off Pancha Ganapati. From December 21 to 25, Hindus honor Lord Ganesha (culture/new beginnings) but you do not need to be Hindu to appreciate the theme of this yearly festival week. May we all cease to ease past mistakes and bring blessings of joy and harmony into every realm of our life. Come cast a wider circle each day: family, friends, associates, culture and faith.
Each day we’ll have a tray of tea + fun treats after class.
DAY ONE:
December 21, Yellow
Nurturing Harmony Among Family
The family sadhana creates a vibration of love and harmony among our immediate family members. We make amends and offer apologies for misdeeds and suffering. Once forgiveness is offered we commit to speak only of one another’s good qualities. We resolve to remember the futility of trying to change others and the practicality of changing oneself to be the silent example instead.
DAY TWO:
December 22, Blue
Nurturing Harmony Among Friends
The second day of Pancha Ganapati creates a vibration of love and harmony among neighbors/relatives/friends and we present them with heartfelt gifts. We offer apologies and clear up any misunderstandings that exist beyond the home. among friends and neighbors — amends made and tensions released.
DAY THREE:
December 23, Red
Nurturing Harmony w/ Public
This is the day for presenting gifts to merchants and customers and honoring employers and employees with gifts and appreciation. We seek to create harmony with the community.
DAY FOUR:
December 24, Green
Nurturing Cultural Arts
The sadhana of day four is to cultivate joy with culture (music, writing, dance) we all share + enjoy our inherent artistic gifts. We discuss Hindu Dharma + make plans for refinements in the coming year!
DAY FIVE:
Dec 26 (bc closed 25th) Orange
Nurturing PEACE In All Three Worlds
The final day brings forth love and harmony within all three worlds. Because our sadhanas were well performed during the first four days, our worlds are now more aligned and graceful — free of disruption + balanced like Ganesh. We’re ready for the new year.
