✨ 5 things you might not know about me — your Clinical Director & Founder of Powerhouse ABA 💙
(And yes — I had to try the caricature trend 😉)

1️⃣ I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who practices assent-based, relationship-driven care — no forced compliance, no one-size-fits-all programming.

2️⃣ I founded Powerhouse ABA and intentionally chose Elmhurst as our home base for its strong community values and family-centered resources.

3️⃣ I’ve worked in this field since 2013 — from paraprofessional to RBT to BCBA — gaining comprehensive, hands-on experience across every level of care.

4️⃣ I’m a North Central College alum where I studied Political Science/Pre-Law, took the LSAT, and was preparing law school applications when I discovered ABA and made a purposeful career pivot into behavioral health.

5️⃣ I’m also a mom — and I welcomed my daughter in December 💕 which has deepened my perspective on compassionate, family-centered care.

I’ve been a little quiet lately after welcoming my daughter in December, but I’m back and grateful to continue providing thoughtful, high-quality services to families in our community.

🎄Join us at the local holiday tree lighting!

We are excited to share that our sponsored tree will be shining bright this year at the tree lighting at Wilder Park.

📣TREE LIGHTING EVENT UPDATE:
With Thursday evening’s forecast calling for dangerously cold wind chills (the “feels like” temperature is expected to dip below 10°), we’re making some adjustments to ensure the safety and comfort of our participants, vendors, and staff—especially our littlest attendees.

✨What’s staying the same:
-The event will kick off outdoors at Wilder Park on the back side of the Wilder Mansion.
-Santa will still arrive by fire truck with a police es**rt at 5:45 pm — big thanks to the Elmhurst Police Department and Elmhurst Fire Department!
-We’ll enjoy a quick lighting of the trees before transitioning indoors.

✨Moving indoors:
-Following the tree lighting, the festivities will continue inside Wilder Mansion. Please note that indoor capacity is limited, and we’ll do our best to accommodate everyone safely and efficiently.

✨Inside the Mansion you’ll find:
-A holiday craft for kids
-A special photo op with Mickey & Minnie, courtesy of our presenting sponsor, Kelly Stetler Real Estate Team.
-Quick photo opportunities with Santa & Mrs. Claus

We’re so excited to welcome a small group of kids for a social skills play group in collaboration with Amy B’s Speech Therapy, PLLC. This isn’t just playtime—our focus is on connecting with peers through games and fun activities, with additional supports available for children who need extra guidance. Every activity is designed to help kids build confidence, practice social skills, and enjoy meaningful interactions in a relaxed, supportive setting.

Powerhouse ABA is teaming up with Amy B’s Speech Therapy, PLLC to bring you Connection Club—a neurodivergent-friendly space for kids ages 5-7 and 8-10 to play, connect, and practice social skills through games and activities.

A perfect way to keep routines, build friendships, and have fun during the holiday break!
