✨ We’re Expanding in the New Year!!✨
I'm very excited to announce that a long time dream of mine is about to come true! I've been consulting since March with a company to bring this vision to reality. On January 1st we will be doubling our square footage by taking on the unit adjoining our current space, and building our areas first and only Community Salt Room. This will be an active salt room that not only has a beautiful, relaxing aesthetic with several tons of Himalayan salt bricks but is a true Halotherapy center for respiratory, skin, and mental wellness. I will be looking to have yoga and other class offerings in this space as well. I anticipate a February 1st Grand Opening!
Halotherapy or dry salt therapy refers to a treatment that involve being immersed in salt environments, these including active and passive experiences. Salt therapy originated in Eastern Europe in the 12th century, and involved spending time in naturally occurring salt caves (speleotherapy). The dry, “active” method of halotherapy in our modern era is conducted in man-made, humidity-free salt rooms/caves where precise micro-particles of pharmaceutical grade salt are actively dispersed into the air by a halogenerator. Most studies on halotherapy are small, but proponents point to studies that show benefit for respiratory conditions such as asthma, chronic bronchitis and allergies–and for skin conditions from psoriasis to acne. This gentle therapy is safe for everyone including children and pets. Salt therapy is also approved for HSA/FSA coverage.
I have also converted my small sauna to a salt booth with a mini halogenerator so that you can experience halotherapy a soon as next week! The perfect boost for cold and flu season. 🤧
I want to reassure you that even with the expansion I will still be massaging as I plan to hire help with running the salt room.
