This will be our 4th Stronger With Age seminar, and it will be the last one we run until the fall.

NOW HIRING: FRONT DESK (Nights & Weekends Required)

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a strong, positive team.

At Jim’s Gym, the front desk is more than just checking people in — it’s about creating a great experience for every member who walks through the door.

What the role includes:

Customer service and membership sales
Keeping the gym clean and organized (this matters here)
Helping members with basic exercises when needed
Staying attentive, proactive, and detail-oriented

What we’re looking for:

Comfortable and efficient on a computer
Customer service experience
Knowledge of fitness (and preferably someone who works out)
Able to lift 50 lbs
Friendly, professional, and engaged with members
Available nights and weekends (non-negotiable)
Reliable transportation

We’re not looking for perfect — but we are looking for someone who wants to be here, contributes to the environment, and takes ownership of their role.

Wishing a happy Easter to all!

There’s a lot of energy right now around fitness and boxing in our area.

And honestly, that’s a good thing.

We’ve never tried to be the loudest. We’ve just focused on being consistent.

For over 20 years, we’ve shown up. Day after day. Year after year.

Built something real.

A clean, welcoming gym. A boxing program for everyone, not just a select few. A place where people can walk in at any level and feel like they belong.

We’re proud to be a USA Boxing gym. That standard matters.

But the reality is, most people aren’t trying to fight. They’re trying to get in shape, relieve stress, build confidence, and feel better.

That’s what we do.

What I’m most proud of though, is our coaches.

The way they show up. The way they care. The way they meet people where they’re at and help them move forward.

That’s the difference.

We’ve stayed in our lane. Handled things the right way. And done our part to support this community along the way.

No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just consistency and a team that cares.

Happy Birthday, Cristian “Chino” Lau!

If you’ve spent any time in the gym, you already know what Chino brings to the table.

Focused. Friendly. Driven. Knowledgeable.

He’s the kind of coach who leads by example—puts the work in, takes pride in what he does, and genuinely cares about the people he’s working with. Whether it’s a quick tip on the floor or a full session, he shows up ready to help you get better.

But beyond that, he’s a family man first—and that shows in how he treats everyone here. Respect, consistency, and doing things the right way.

We’re lucky to have him on the team, and Jim’s Gym is better because of it.

Today we recognize someone who has meant a lot to our gym, our community, and to me personally.

After many years of coaching, Gregg Dille is officially stepping away from wrestling when this season ends.

Gregg coached at Broadway Middle School, Southside High School, and spent many years coaching youth club wrestling, helping lay the foundation for so many athletes long before they ever stepped onto a varsity mat. Before that, he had an outstanding career himself, wrestling at Pitt. Wrestling has been a huge part of his life for a very long time.

For me personally, Gregg wasn’t just a coach — he was my coach.

He helped me believe in myself when I didn’t always see it. He pushed when pushing was needed, and he was always fair about it. Tough, strong, passionate, and someone who truly cared about the young athletes he worked with.

Those kinds of coaches leave a mark that lasts far beyond the mat.

These days many of you know Gregg as part of the Jim’s Gym staff, and we’re fortunate to have him here. But his legacy in the wrestling community runs deep and spans decades of mentoring athletes at every level — from youth all the way through high school.

Retirement from coaching isn’t always easy for someone who poured so much into it. But the impact he’s had on generations of wrestlers in this area is something that can’t be overstated.

Coach, thank you for everything you’ve given to the sport, to your athletes, and to the people lucky enough to learn from you.

Elmira wrestling is better because of you.
