We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the Finnish ladies of Kavela to Ely Steam Sauna today, and what an honor it was.

To share this space with women who carry such a deep cultural connection to the tradition of sauna felt truly special. Their presence, their stories, and their appreciation for the steam bath reminded us why this place matters.

Ely Steam Sauna has always been more than just a building, it’s a living piece of history, rooted in the same traditions that these women know so well. Being able to share that story with them today was something we won’t forget.
