Friday night was an incredible celebration of 40 years of impact. We are so grateful for the churches, individuals, and families who have supported Cornerstone and helped make that impact possible.

Support like that continues in many ways throughout the year, including through our Baby Bottle Blessings campaign, which runs annually from Mother’s Day through Father’s Day.

Many churches in our community participate by requesting baby bottles and sharing them with their congregations. People take the bottles home, fill them with change, and return them to one of our two Northeast Ohio Women’s Health Centers.

In 1985, Rev. Bill Williams acted on a burden for the unborn and began researching what it would take to start a crisis pregnancy center.

One year later, in 1986, the Lorain County Crisis Pregnancy Center officially opened its doors.

What began in a small facility across from LCCC would grow into Cornerstone Pregnancy Services.

In the early 1990s, the ministry was renamed and expanded to offer post abortive services, reaching those already impacted by abortion.

In 1994, the Baby Bucks program launched, equipping parents through education and material support. In the early 2000s, medical services including ultrasound were added, and expansion into Western Cuyahoga County extended our reach.

By 2006, the Griswold Road location was gifted to the ministry, strengthening operations and consolidating services. A mobile ultrasound unit followed, meeting women at their point of need.

Over the years, partnerships, expanded medical care, men’s programming, and doula services continued to grow the mission.

And in the last two years, we have taken bold steps forward.

We merged with Cleveland Pregnancy Center, uniting two trusted ministries to expand life affirming care across Lorain County and Cleveland.

We also launched a partnership with Veranova Health, giving eligible clients access to prenatal care, postpartum support, OB referrals, and addiction medicine services.

Forty years ago, this ministry began with a burden.

Today, it stands as a growing network of care, compassion, and community.

The legacy is strong. And the future is still unfolding.

As a table host, you simply invite friends, family, or colleagues to fill your table and join you for the evening.

There is no cost to host and hosting is not the same as sponsorship, which makes it an incredible first step in expanding the impact of the mission through your relationships.

During the event, guests will hear stories of impact and be given an opportunity to make a financial gift if they feel led.

Your role as a table host is to gather people who care about life and help introduce them to the mission.

If you haven’t registered for our upcoming Legacy of Life Spring Gala… here’s 45 reasons you should!

…okay, that would be way too long of a post. 😊

So we've limited ourselves to 5 reasons:

1️⃣ This is not just another banquet. It is our 40th Anniversary celebration. We are inviting those who have been part of the ministries of Cornerstone and Lili Women’s Center throughout the years. You will see faces you have not seen in a long time. Volunteers. Supporters. Staff. Friends. It is a rare chance to gather generations in one room.

2️⃣ When young people see faithful supporters show up year after year, it speaks volumes. Your presence communicates that life matters. That commitment matters. That long obedience in the same direction is worth it.

3️⃣ Many in our community have invested financially, prayerfully, and personally over decades. This evening honors that legacy. You will see the fruit of seeds planted years ago and the lives still being impacted today.

Over the years, we have been blessed with exceptional speakers. From Tony Evans to Janet Parshall, each one has brought insight, encouragement, and conviction.

But as we celebrate 40 years of ministry, perhaps no one is more uniquely suited to share this moment than our own CEO, Dr. Cynthia Carter-Harris.

Dr. Carter-Harris has faithfully served Cornerstone Pregnancy Services for 14 years and has led as CEO for the past seven. With a background in healthcare and ministry, she brings both professional expertise and a deeply personal calling to protect the unborn.

Her passion was shaped by a powerful encounter with the Lord and strengthened through years of walking alongside women facing unplanned pregnancies. She believes lasting change happens one heart, one family, and one conversation at a time.

Needless to say, we are THRILLED to hear her speak at this milestone event.

Join us for an evening of reflection and purpose as she shares the rich legacy and hopeful future of Cornerstone.
